Byrds

At 16 my main hobby was "byrd" watching. Now 60 years later my main hobby is "bird" watching.
I am not a casual bird watcher, put much effort into it as it is fun. It aint nearly as much fun as watching byrds when I was 16, but ~~~~
On the dock right now. Mostly cloudy day has reached just 87 after going over a hundred this week. More mators are on my dock plants than I can eat. I have a salt shaker down here, like to eat them like apples.
The lake is mostly quiet, just an occasional boat. Birds out here today have been a Mallard, a Tern, some Canada Geese, a Kingfisher, and a Blue Heron.T Constantly are Bluebirds and Swallows who are into their second nesting on my dock. They complain some when I first arrive, then pay me no mind. I have on a music mix of Lynard and Seger. They seem to approve. It is 3oclock on a really great day, and right now, there is not one boat on the lake. Maybe some will show later.
Pass me a cold one.

Sounds like a great day Tug! When I grew up on Johns Island it was mostly tomato fields. We always carried a box of salt in the truck and ate them like apples. Hard to beat it. Enjoy your evening!

You can use the Cornell Bird App to call birds to you. I did it the other day with a painted bunting.

I once saw a female Painted Bunting here in my yard -- that seems crazy. I like to camp at Huntington Beach State Park. I have seen some there.

I love the Classic Byrds sound, but also loved the addition of Clarence White and the "crossover country" sound as well!

Marty Stewart owns and plays Clarences telecaster now. CW's death was so tragic and unnecessary

Speaking of Birds

The target in this song is supposedly Lennon's amusement of Jagger's constant bragging about his "birds" and everything else -- in the this case, Marianne Faithfull ... the bird who could sing ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH-3y_Ike5E
