He makes a valid point. What have we done? We've barely beaten 3 Power 5 foes by an average of 4 TDs. Yet LSU did beat Texas....but those wins against Georgia Southern and Northwestern State....man, those are the markings of a true champion!

Before Clemson could soar in the #1 spot for rankings, we had to beat the the best, we have done that twice in 3 years, and we have beat Texas A&M twice that LSU has lost to both those teams last season, and now all they have to do is beat two no body's and one maybe above average team, and some idiot can claim they are #1. To be the best, and that is what #1 is, you have to beat the best and as far as I'm concerned, that idiot didn't only prove that he was an idiot, he proved that he is a fool also!!!

Women's soccer is the only team sport that i can watch (tennis is individual, so my wife says NO) women play where they still look and play like girls, and our USWNT is still 80% straight. So long as they keep their traps shut and just play (like most men do), i got no problems with them.
However, ESPN only likes them for their activism, --"using sports to change the world"--so, yeah, i end up agreeing with you even though i don't want to.

LSU looks good -- and all good SEC teams are the favorite when they play Clemson. Until the game is over.
Dabo does not play to impress the voters. He does not play to allow his players to win top accolades. He plays to win. He plays to build character as he defines it. He plays to play everyone on the team to build comradery. It works. But many including this unknown ESPN analyst do not comprehend this approach.
Bring it on! Go Clemson Tigers!

He didn't blow anybody's mind, he only proved that his own mind is in shambles, and he has gave ESECPN all the reason they would ever need to fire Acho if they themselves wasn't such SEC homers but, this is the most asinine statement made for rankings that I've seen made in years of being an avid college FB fan!!! I mean don't you still have to beat the best to be considered to be the best. Clemson has beat the best and won two college FB National Championships by doing so, and homers like Acho without reason take the #1 spot from Clemson and give it to a team that lost to Clemson the last time they played on a big stage. The same LSU that lost to Bama, Texas A&M, and Florida last year, two of those teams in Bama, Texas A&M that Clemson beat last year, and we have beat beat Texas A&M again this season. Homerism isn't even a good excuse to use to cover this Acho ignorants!!! He is stupid, and he says very stupid chit!!!
"I'm going to blow some people's minds with this one. (The best team is) LSU," Acho said on ESPN's 'Get Up' on Friday.

Who cares; there are probably 500 analysts at ESPN and many others with other networks - not all of them might think that the Tigers should be numero uno. We need to do our talking on the field and everything will take care of itself.
Our goal is not to make everyone believe that we are number one (that will never happen), but to continuously improve (per Dabo) and hopefully that allows us to lift the championship trophy.

At least the dude 1.) is going by what's happened on the field, not in his head like most ESPN analysts; 2) gave credit to the team with the biggest signature win of the season; 3) acknowledged that September results are far different from January; and 4) acknowledged that he totally disregarded the defensive breakdowns he witnessed. Oh, wait, he didn't? My bad.
I still don't care. Dabo plays for December/January. The rest is just screeching violins getting tuned up for the performance that matters.

So he’s basing his #1 ranking on LSU beating A Texas team that hasn’t played Anyone worth while. Texas best LA Tech and Rice and lost to LSU. For all we know Texas could be a garbage team.
LSU beat an unproven Texas team, GA Southern, and Northwestern State. That schedule ??.

I know which hand fills up first, but I just wished it was required for them to go on air and admit how wrong they were. They make some outlandish statement and when they are right they crow about predicting it. When they are wrong, they conveniently forget the stupid remarks coming out of their mouth. If not before, come January he will be eating his crow.

He makes decent points about LSU, but you could make an arguement for any number of teams to be #1 right now. That guy rightfully pointed out that #1 in September isn't the same as #1 in November. We will all know who is best soon enough. Until then, this is good entertainment, nothing more - not a conspiracy, not hate - just entertainment.

Texas is overrated and doesn't play defense like most teams in the Big XII.
Clemson is the top cat in college football and until someone knocks them off, that's not going to change.
That said, I do think Georgia and LSU have, thus far, looked like the two best teams in the $EC.

I think ESPN makes up their own questions for segments like this and passes them off as though they come from viewers. How convenient it would be that a “viewer” would know exactly the right question to ask to get the most “mind blowing” answer from the analyst.
If they don’t make up their own questions, then they sift through the viewer questions, find one they like, then fabricate a “mind-blowing” answer before they ever go on the air.
The whole #### thing is scripted.
