How much rain have you had?

8

Jun 21, 2023, 5:32 PM

I had just under 4 inches in less than 2 hours yesterday afternoon and think it has rained harder this afternoon. My pool has filled above the skimmer intake and the overflow drain. Still pouring and water is flowing down my driveway past the house about 2 inches deep

I love lake greenwood. I used to call it the redneck lake back in the 90's, every other dock had a confederate flag flying. Then the first time practicing for a tournament they had onecof those jetboat clubs out there with the huge engines like 454, 396, etc. in small boats that shoot 100ft rooster tails. I felt like I truly fit in and I could catch fish. Won a tournament few yrs ago with 31.6lbs with best 5. Second place was like 23lbs.

Is there still hydrill on lower end coves?

I used to live down on that end and had a lot of it there. Live more toward the middle of the lake now near Goat Island and haven't seen any here. Don't go to the lower end much so I don't know if it is still there. Think DNR treated a couple of coves a few years back.

Are there still goats on goat island? Goat Is. on Murray used to be full of goats but they lowered the lake to kill grass but it was so low the goats walked to mainland. The dnr had to trap and remove from residential areas as the food source was much better. So for few yrs there were no goats, then someone snuck like 5 out there because they liked them and last I knew it was well populated again.

Never been any on this island as far as I know- the county

The gauge is broken, but I can tell there have been a few inches of rain. The power has been off twice.
