I'd be remiss if I didn't share my gut feeling on Burch. His "recruitment" has certainly been entertaining. My hat is off to him and his mother for maintaining their OPSEC during the whole process. It's not often that not a single recruiting analyst has any reliable insight into what's going to happen.
That said, at 1430 today, I think Burch will announce for.........
UGA
Just my gut says that last visit was important to momma.
I don't know what Clemson did to get marked off the list, but its obvious they weren't interested. No visits at all and we're only 2.5 hours down the road. I think any interest we heard he had was a smoke screen by the coots involved to make it seem like they got him from us.
I think the coots were in it, until their season tanked. No sane person thinks Will Muschamp will be the coach next year. Why commit to an unknown future.
UGA. Plays (but loses) for championships. Their D was good this year. Athens isn't too far for momma to go. And it get's him out of the South Carolina microscope.
I can't say I have high confidence in this. Maybe the coots still get'm. However I don't think they'd have made the trip last weekend if they weren't seriously considering UGA.

Times due to proximity, why would you use an OV to them, if you're comparing against others of interest. What's going to be shown on an OV that you haven't seen already?
This in no way suggests a belief Burch is coming to Clemson...or to name any other school as the lottery winner. It is to throw out for consideration there are multiple ways to use OV's in the process.

If you are referring to Clemson, he didn't visit Clemson a lot. No he didn't need to do an official with us, but he and his momma never toured the campus. USuCk, sure he had no need to do an OV there.
But an OV means you are interested enough to go through the process.

He lives in Columbia surrounded by SEC homers.
Clemson had an uphill battle.
