...or whatever u call it. Can anyone tell me how many times it was run in the EsecPN championship? I only saw 1 behind the LOS wide receiver screen pass attempted and guess what? It didn't work. Why in the hades do we constantly run this play? Every team that has ever watched any film on the Tigers knows we're gonna run it & is just waiting for it...plus our WRs can't block in the first place.

But, I do see other teams executing it with some success. Quickness, precision, and blocking are key. But having fast wide outs keeps the defenders back a few yards and on their heels. Guess what? Since the days of Ross, Williams, Higgins, Rodgers, and Powell, our boundary receivers have been pretty slow, causing the corners to step closer to the line if scrimmage, making it much more difficult to get anything out of the bubble screens.

Other teams run the bubble screen.

But to answer your question...I have no idea. I think it started off as a trick play that evolved into a standard play. But it no longer works.
