As a SMU Grad, they have been waiting on this game for 37 years! The Mustangs will definitely be ready for this game!
Back in the early 1980’s Clemson and SMU had some top teams nationally, before NCAA violations took their toll on both programs.
Dabo and the Tigers better be ready, and play aggressively all night. We didn’t seem to have the fire to Whoop the Coots last week!
Clemson has the players to win, but the coaches need to step it up! We have to play our best game of the year when we step on the field.

Absolutely they are both too blame! Goodwins defenses are getting worse each year and you would think they should be improving learning his system better? But, I believe the first couple of seasons had more to do with Coach V recruits still being there then goodwin being there. Our run defense is pathetic and only rushing 3 and have 8 play back was as stupid a call you could make at the end of the game. Giving superman too much time to find out a way to run circles around those that were back. I don't think our run defense has ever looked this soft & this awful and, that's going back to when hatfield, west & bowden were are hc.
It's past time to get a real top of the line defensive coordinator that knows what they are doing and can help build the D back. A lot of talk about Riley being looked at for a HC position this off-season, let him walk, save some money and put morris and or Jeff scott or both leading the offense again. There was no problems like we have now on offense when morris was running the show. In 2012 & 2013 we averaged over 40 pts. per game for both seasons and was only beaten by elliot & scott along with Trevor Lawrence in 2018 when we averaged 44 points a game.

We finished with the 2nd-best conference record in the ACC. No tiebreaker was needed to get us in. If we don't deserve to be there, just cancel the game and give the trophy to SMU.

Uh, yes the Tigers did earn it. Clemson had the second best conference record. Out of conference records don't count. Miami pissed it away with losses to unranked Georgia Tech and Syracuse teams.

We did earn it. We lost 1 conference game, Miami lost 2. What other team in the ACC deserved it more than us other that SMU?

I wouldn't bet a two dollar bill on Clemson winning this game. South Carolina not only won the instate battle yesterday but in doing so both exposed and embarrassed Clemson.

I agree. Clemson very vulnerable on D, with a poor tackling squad. Not very fast either. And the O nothing to brag about. Good teams shut down our offense. Combination of poor coaching and lousy execution. Special teams? Don't even want to go there. Dabo's team will have to do much better than what we saw yesterday if they want to corral the Ponies.
