I still think they’ll be ok, but that’s a brutal two series to start the year.

they gave up Opening Day. Wasted a great outing yesterday. Just zero pop in the bats outside of a few hard hit balls right at people.
I thought yesterday was just unlucky. Olsen missed by an inch and then the ball off the pitcher that led to the SD run

Too bad there’s not a salary cap in baseball .. their GM didn’t do much in the off season, the Dodgers have spent more on two players than most teams spend on their entire team. Of course, then there’s the Freddie Freeman curse the Braves are having to deal with ..

The Braves entire lineup is signed long term are you not aware? Just who would you want to replace? Plus they acquired an All Star caliber left fielder in the off season. Are you not aware?
Relax. Braves were swept last year in San Diego then the Padres were swept in Atlanta. Things will be ok.

I’m not sure why everyone is worried about starters. When you get shutout in two games and your bullpen is bleeding, the starting pitching isn’t the problem right now. Will it be later in the season? Maybe so, but they did good enough to win games in San Diego.

to bolster/improve the roster especially in the bullpen. To further compound matters, the team managed just one single hit in 22 at bats with runners in scoring position against the Padres. That's a .045 batting average that ranks the lowest in MLB.
