I sure hope the players stayed at the field until midnight taking BP. They are going to have to swing the bats to win this. Strider on tge bump hoping for a better day today

The week off is definitely not an advantage. It also seems that winning over 100 games allows the team to start to coast early. Realistically the Braves haven’t played any meaningful baseball in a month. Hopefully the bats come alive tonight

The week off doesn't help, but the Braves have essentially taken the last month off after wrapping up the division. All of those games that they won in the regular season don't help them now.

Unfortunately, it’s not the best team that wins - it’s the hottest team at the time, and the same happened last year. While the Braves did great in the regular season .. they took the last month off, resting starters and playing 500 baseball. In a short series, the hottest team has the advantage while the Braves appear to be trying to get back in sync with their hitting and pitching. The Dodgers are better than AZ, though they’re home now, season over.

has been spiraling downward like a weak flushing toilet since the All Star break, and that was on full display again last night. Strider and Fried have pretty much been the only bright spots.

The Phils have their names on their jerseys the same way the Braves do so it was always going to be a struggle either way.
