If you ignore players from transfer portal and just look at the core players we recruit and results from that, Brad averages hitting on one of his three or four recruits when you go back to 2011. Most guys either you will not know their name or they had limited results and maybe four over that period were developed into nba prospects.

Going back to 2011 or 12 of his 14 years: his top guards that could be successful recruits at guard: were KJ McDaniel, Rod Hall, Greg Roper and Gabe Devoe. The best at forward or center over the same 12 years of recruiting: PJ Hall, Jaron Blossongame, Hunter Tyson, Amir Simms and possibly Shef. These would probably be the top 9 recruits over about 12 years that would be considered successful recruits. Not sure if any other player makes the list that was a non-transfer portal. Ineffective recruiting putting excessive pressure to land high quality short-term transfer portal guys as our strategy. Better recruiting has been a continual weakness.

What does Brad possibly say to a 5 star recruit who has offers from Kansas, Kentucky and Duke? I doubt the words Mercedes or Benz would help. They are not coming to a school that has no winning tradition.

To a 17 year old kid likely from a low income single family. I bet he also wants to know what computer programming languages he'll learn if he chooses an IT major.

Brad does not exude enthusiasm, or confidence, for that matter. Why would a kid want to play for someone who has the personality of a knot on a log?
