the world did we lose to them in Columbia?!!! And...GOdfrey, though I tuned in late, has only played about 2 minutes in the 8 I have watched. It was 18-16 Georga when I turned it on..35-21 Georgia at the half...

Beats me. I can't believe the coots are still up to 90 in the net rank. Same as ocryo st at 29. It really does pay to lose to quad 1 teams.

When the whole conference roster is ranked high, there are no bad losses.

Someone said the coots are injured. Not sure if that is true though.

The Coots have 2 starters out with injuries. And they are doing everything they can to hurt Clemson's NET ranking.

They would still need to drop another 40+ spots to affect our quad records. It was a bad loss, but what they are doing now isn't making it any worse.

I chalked it up to the one or two inexplicable losses a Brownell team will throw up each year.

So you think Brad is the only college basketball coach who experiences an unexpected loss (fyi it’s called an upset) each year? Typical fringe….

I agree.... a really bad loss. Their crowd beat is that night and for whatever reason we couldn't handle the noise. We are head and shoulders better than they are and would kick the crap out of them now.

Most hostile environment I’ve ever heard, which is to be expected. But in basketball it affects the referee’s whistle, so it is a very tangible home court advantage. It certainly was that night.
Pringle thoroughly outplayed our bigs, but the motor that drives their train is CMB; he picked up 4 fouls in the first half but somehow didn’t foul out until AFTER Schieff had. We lost 3 guys to fouls plus Dylan for a flagrant. They led at the half even without Boyles making much of a first-half contribution.
Two of three major game-turning calls went their way—including Dylan getting ejected while playing an awesome game. The third was a 50/50 call.
Anyway, not sure how hard Brownell was willing to work the refs, because the guys have got to learn to win in hostile places. That was actually a great maturity game.
Bragging rights—and our ranking—were the only casualties from that game.

Yep the refs definitely swallowed their whistles in the second half, and we didn't get any of the game deciding calls.
