I was living in Houston in 1983 when one of the best college basketball teams of all time, Phi Slamma Jama, was taken down by Nancy State. Ya just never know?????

Eight players on NC State had starts this year. Those players are also the only one’s to average more than 10 minutes a game. Those 8 players had been at NC State for a combined 3 total seasons prior to this year. Do you really think some institutional memory of Tobacco Road wars carried them to the Final Four?
