hunter..by old school I mean, his dogs had to not only find birds,but they had to HOLD birds. They had to retrieve your downed birds...and most importantly they had to "Back" the other dogs on point...well, he was hunting with a guy who brought his own dog...and the dog was sorry. He chewed up the first bird my uncle knocked down, then the second one...and then he blew right through my uncles dogs on point and busted a covey....My uncle just looked at the guy and said," If you don't shoot him, I'm going to!"....


Don't know why that memory came to mind tonight...but it did...
