I think he'll go around the 5th or 6th round. I think his transition will not be easy, but if he gets drafted by a team with a little patience he could develop into a solid back-up in the NFL

Just from workouts. It day one of an all-game practice. You'd have to be completely irrational to jump to that conclusion about a guy in this type of setting, this early in the process unless you never liked him from the start.

Can't imagine why you wouldn't like him from workouts unless he really was looking bad. Can't watch because I don't get NFL network. Hope Tajh shows out in the game. None of the other North QBs seem that good.

chose Boyd over all QBs (including SEC QBs) when asked to rank the QBs entering the draft and who would be most successful. The thread is weeks old but there's alot of respect for Boyd outside of asking a Coot fan. He'll suprise alot of folks.

Reminds me of a dog race I attended, and a dog named "Ready Willing Sally" who an "expert" said had no chance. She showed the rest of the pack nothing but her tail all the way around the track. I left with a pocket full of cash that night, and so will the owners of the team who drafts TB. He is a leader of men, and someone will cash in in a big way by choosing him.

This is not a Packers scout. He is ###### who calls himself an analyst - translates as he runs a ###### website called draftinsider. Based on other tweets he's also friends with the coot at dixiefriedsports. So, clearly no bias here.

He's yet another one of the people who unbelievably get paid for this crap. Took a glance on his 2013 big board. Gene Smith top 10 pick. EJ Manuel not on the board. The more I look back at how wrong these idiots are the better it might be for Tajh.

Sounds like someone with an agenda and a voice...
I think Tajh has one of the more accurate/stronger arms I've ever seen, but his height (and to some extent his mobility) would be an issue for me. I think the game is going towards taller/mobile QBs, (Newton, Kaepernick, Manuel) but there are only so many that are that tall & mobile. If I was an owner, I would hold out for one of those guys.
Having said that, Russell Wilson is playing in the Super Bowl in his third season with the Seahawks? So who cares what this guy says...

I think Tajh throws extremely accurate and probably the best deep ball than anyone out there.

I think his biggest problem is his lack of ability to see the whole field. It seems when he couldn't go to his primary receiver he didn't fare to well. If he learns that better at the next level I think he plays lights out.

Honest question: What would make one think Boyd would be a good NFL quarterback? I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he lost too many big games by completely choking.

Tajh was forced to throw into deep zone coverage
Jan 20, 2014, 10:36 PM
|

After the rest of the team choked, guy. Good defenses will turn a comeback attempt into a blowout once the other team is forced to become one dimensional.
Have you ever watched Tajh Boyd when he time to throw the ball (like aaron rogers)? He'll slice and dice a secondary until the point of embarrassment.
You don't know much about football. Teammates were the reason for him having to become one dimensional (passing only, to catch up). Let an FL team give him time to throw, and a running game, and you're going to sh!t your pants and want to burn all of your Shaw jerseys you'll draped over most of the interior parts of your home.
