Bowl tix observation

if we've only sold about half it tells me something is wrong with the system. maybe the economy is some of it and our number of Atlanta visits plays a role but look at the web too.
If you are going to charge top price for tix , CFA, bowl & others, then you better give the schools a premium seating block. If you and the schools cant figure this out you deserve what you get

they can only buy 2 tickets (when they want 4) and there are 9000 unsold is kinda messed up...

I think they either overestimated the demand or they are just plain stupid. As soon as I saw that I could only get 2 tickets in the upper deck, I went elsewhere.

I agree something has to change. I bought my tickets a few days before we found out for sure which bowl game and I am in lower level and paid 60 a ticket. It will always be hard for schools to sell out if people can get better seats from other sources.

Row two on the Mezz section 231. Great seats. Not sure why they turned your request down.
Most of the ticket brokers have good seats but are over $200 bucks a ticket. I wasn't aware Clemson had so many big spenders at all costs.

I've been IPTAY for 12 years and have never purchased bowl tix through the school. I remember the Gator (when we played VaTech) when I had 50 yd line seats and had hardly anyone around me (section less than half full) and paid half the price of all the IPTAY people in the endzone...

Same here. I never buy from CUAD. They screwed a large portion of the fanbase over a few years back for the UT peach bowl match up. I think that is still in the heads of the fans. I know it is mine. When you pay for the ticket and then have your money refunded literally days before to a sold out event.
Needless to say I had a few choice words for the CUAD that day. If you say I cannot get the tickets then fine, but don't sell them to me and refund with zero time to find a replacement.
Currently CU has sold 10,000 of its 18,000 allotment. LSU and just about every school in the nation is currently having the same problem. Secondary market is just flat out whipping their collective a****

From the bowl's perspective, it is perfect. They get paid whether schools sell the allotments or not. The fans buy from other outlets and they can claim a sellout. Not good for the schools but that tells you where the power is in the bowl system.

I hate not going thru IPTAY for bowl and road game tix BUT the fact is the seats the school gets normally suck. I'd rather pay $20 more and get decent seats. Until the system is fixed, I think most schools will have trouble getting rid of their garbage seats. I have bought season tix for home games for 32 years but have grown sick of seat locations we are forced to deal with if we buy thru the school.

Unless it is the MNC, you can always get better tickets other than through the schools. It has been that way a long, long time.
