highest ranked conference champs and the highest ranked group of 5 champ. If the highest ranked group of 5 finished above a power 4 champ, they could get left.
That’s why the ESPN Predictor gives us only a 58% chance to make the playoff with an ACC championship but a loss to SC.

The 4 highest ranked conference champs. What conference would have a higher ranked champ than than the ACC besides the Sec, Big 10, and Big 12?

The ESPN predictor is showing a 58% chance of beat SCAR. Win that game and win the ACC, it's showing me a 97% to make the playoffs, 76% for a first round bye, <1% to host and 21% to be a first round visitor.

What if we end up ranked below Oregon, Texas, boise state, Arizona state and Tulane? Who all win their conference. And if we lose to South Carolina but win ACC championship this is possible.

Yeah ESPN is showing a 58% we beat the chickens. We most likely won’t even make the ACC champ game. I believe we won’t and don’t deserve to. If we somehow happen to win the ACC, a snowballs chance in ####, we are in.
Idgaf about the playoffs at this point, in my mind that’s over with, let’s just beat the chickens.

if we lose to SC. The other one was Army if they beat ND but they are getting demolished. I don't think Tulane has enough juice to finished ahead of us so we are probably safely in now if we somehow do win the ACC.

No you're incorrect. The rules say the top 5 conference champions Get automatic bids. There is no provision for power for group of 5 Champion champions. Stop saying that Champion champions. Stop saying that part. It's only Top 5 conference champions.part
The reason the ESPN predictor gives us 158% chance With a lost of South Carolina winning the conference, Is because currently Army army in 2 lane From the American conference,, From the American conference,, only spots below us. Could finish ranked ahead Could finish ranked ahead of us Spot.

Yes I can. These are the official rules for the CFP website itself. It says:
"The 12 participating teams will be the five conference champions ranked highest by the CFP selection committee, plus the next seven highest-ranked teams."
