Last day to donate! The dsgriff family just gave 4 pints.

Little surprised to hear the Bloodmobile girl say that every year she hopes Dabo will come donate, but she’s never seen him. Maybe he gives in a different bud, or chooses not to give (that was me for a very long time). His business…his call.

in intensive care. They told me that tests they do on donated blood showed positive for a marker for Heppatitis, even though I have never had it. (They did more in depth tests, which showed I did not have it, or the antibodies.) So, they destroyed my unit of blood, and told me it would be fruitless in future for me to try and donate. They did give my Dad credit for that unit being donated, though.

of donated blood. Changed my mind about being a donor, but I thought my medical history and/or my medications would disqualify me. Happy to learn that wasn’t the case.

I’ve given over 5 gallons in my donating life, including apheresis but none since the pandy. I called it quits after that.
