Biggest concern for the South Carolina game next week
Nov 16, 2018, 12:07 PM
|
|
for me is our players getting personal fouls, kicked out or suspended for the ACCCG. Every game I've watched of theirs this year I've seen their defensive players continue to jaw, shove, taunt, stand over the offensive player, punch, you name it. The refs never seem to call it just on them or take control of the game. The Missouri game is great example of where the refs called at least 2 offsetting personal fouls because So. Carolina players were constantly in the faces of the MO players. They do this every game and have done it for years, but it seems to be excused and not even talked about because they play in the SEC.
I'm not concerned about the actual game or score as it should be one sided. I was at the fight game and you could see it brewing from the time the Tigers ran down the hill to an awaiting Gamecock team to when Newton got hit to start it all. Much better coach and much better discipline than that team, but that is the one thing that could really derail this team right now.
Go TIGERS!

I'm worried our scoreboard may not go over 99. How will we keep track of the score after Clemson breaks 100?

Just me but I would bet Dabo is gonna lay the law down to his team before that game letting them what could happen...don't think one minute that he is not thinking about that fiasco in 2004...our guys are maturer than that so we don't have anything to worry about

It's time to take a stand-up to this irrational prejudice against balloons.

The FG's will act tough early on but once they start........

getting their ##### kicked they'll back down. And Dabo will nip any BS in the bud before it becomes a problem.
There won't be anymore repeats of the fight game where Lou Holtz ran around not knowing what in the hell to do.

I agree with all of you that on paper, this will be a blow out. But remember that we get every ones best shot. In the end, it will be but we have had a lot of slow starts this year.

We haven’t fallen victim to that against them previously

And I’m sure that will be drilled into the team next week in practice. We’re playing for a lot more than they are.
Just beat their @ss on the field and if they try to jaw at you point to the scoreboard or throw up a thumb (not the Christian Wilkins way).

Our players know what they have to lose by missing the games after the Coots .The 3 games up next are why they came to Clemson. The only thing that deserves retaliation is drity hits on our skilled guys. If this starts I hope the Tigers clear the field and open up that Can if whoop a zz.

I'm hoping the buses can successfully start their engines as they carry the team from WEZ to The Hill. That is our biggest challenge against WBBU.
