big fan of Gameday but this is ridiculous

Sep 7, 2013, 9:49 AM

They're straight up making excuses for a relatively lackluster performance by Clowney. I was embarrassed when Corso said he had a bad performance because "North Carolina didn't challenge him".

Clowney IS the most talented defensive player in the country likely the best player overall...but this is just getting absurd.

gotta keep him in heisman contention***

I'm not a fan of anything they do because they dont report instead they hype their agenda. I've taken to watching as little of them outside of games as possible. just sick of their carnival barker / huckster approach

They've learned well from Obama

Sell your stance. If they don't swallow it, sell harder. If they refuse, shove it down their throat.

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

If a player has a stomach virus, it is normally discussed

BEFORE the GAME. They brought it up after because it is an easy excuse for the press to swallow. That was conditioning....period. Spurrier had even called him out in the press about the skipping practice deal due to an "injury". Clown boy is out of shape and will be expose again today when Jawga runs it right at him with that beast Gurley. You don't get in shape in a week. If Jawga runs and gets Murray out of the pocket...Jawga wins.

It's all about the ratings - hype expectations for a turnaround by Clowney so that everyone will tune in to see if it is true.

ESPN/Gameday is a business. It's about $$$ money. Most things in life are. They have a proven formula that works. If it quits working they'll do something different. If what is being hyped gets to be too much I just cut back on my ESPN veiwing.
The Clowney hit wore me out! I just used the remote! :)
