Big 12: possible?

If the Big 12 goes after or has certain teams join the conference in the years to come. They would have to divide the conference up into East and West, not North and South. Here is my way of thinking based on the recent interested or rumored teams.

Big 12 West: Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Kansas, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Notre Dame

Big 12 East: West Virginia, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas State.

This algiment would keep certain parties/rivalries happy and create new ones.

Once you add14 teams, why not add 2 more?

This would let the B12 create 4 pods, which would put Clemson with FSU, GT, NCST/VT.

be established prior to FSU and Clemson joining Big 12.

Plums of conference TX, OK, OSU with above average TCU, WVU, and Baylor and potential for ND, and/or Pitt/GaT/BYU need to be divided the right way for Clemson & FSU.

For fun's sake, looking at your East/West, I believe you are pretty close to right division with exception of Iowa State in East as KS and KS St in West. Do not expect Louisville (even with Senate push) ... more likely Pitt, GaT, NCSU, BYU ... we shall see soon.

I think Notre Dame would want to be in the East division if it ever joined that conference. That would give them exposure to recruits in Florida.

East: Clemson, FSU, Kansas, Kansas St, Louisville, Notre Dame, WVU.

West: Baylor, Iowa St, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Ok, Ok St.
