I fully expect Moore to contribute early/often despite not being a mid-year!
Are there any other players some of you think have a shot at seeing the field early; despite being behind due to joining during the Summer?

I was impressed with Ashton Hamptons tape, has great speed and can play both sides if necessary. Not saying he’s Travis Hunter but I saw some similarities

Ashton Hampton. I’ve always maintained that he was highly underrated as a recruit. We have young, inexperienced depth at CB.
Darien Mayo could carve out some playing time at DE by the end of the season. But hopefully Hoffler, Denhoff, Patterson, and Lawson take the next step in their development.
Christian Bentancur will battle for that #2 TE spot. I love that room. It’s arguably the best position group we have. Sapp and OPH can both play. But Bentancur is legit.
Drew Woodaz almost certainly redshirts. But if he’s anything like his older brother, he could also start on special teams for us this year.

It's tough for first year guys to come in and make an impact at the TE position unless you're really special. You see it all the time with the HS to college jump and the college to NFL jump. Betancour should be a good one for us, but I think he will experience a learning curve for sure.

Not a summer enrollee, but I think we see a good bit of David Eziomume as the season goes on. He's the second most talented RB on the roster besides Mafah and I could see him being the clear RB2 by like week 6, then they slowly increase his workload as the year goes on since he probably goes into next spring as the RB1.

No, I disagree with that statement about the Running Backs. Keith Adams is the #2 guy but won't see much playing time.

Keith Adams and Mafah were #1 & #2 in Georgia H.S. 7A RB's before Adams transferred to the school in Utah.
The kid is short; so he doesn't get a lot of "star-love" but I think he becomes a household name this year backing up Mafah!

I think the following Freshmen will contribute early and often.
Bryant Wesco
TJ Moore
Sammy Brown
Tavoy Feagin
Christian Bentancur
Most DL recruits will redshirt. The Offensive Line Recruits will play but not significant time. The CB's and Safeties may or may not redshirt. However, Drew Woodaz may get into the mix with Wade Woodaz or Whoop-Ass as Dabo likes to say.

I love the fact Wesco and Moore will be there in the event the upperclassmen do not raise their games. If they do not or if something unforseen happens - they are great insurance plans.
Even w/o any of that - they both have the ability to push the starters to stay on their toes and to get better!
We have to 1st and foremost just stay healthy in that room!
