Never had any trouble with bugs to speak of at all through most of the trip. Near the top of Pinnacle Mtn we were looking off the mountain, and my friend got stung once so we evacuated quickly...no further harm done.

Parking is a bit of a problem at Jones Gap.

The only truly difficult sections are going up to the Ceasar's Head Parking Area, Ascending Sassafrass, Ascending Pinnacle. The rest is a nice walk in the woods.
