KB looked like a completely different player this week.

I know he's still learning as a first year starter but he's been in the program long enough to look better than that. Heck he looked much better against louisville and Auburn.
I'm hoping it was just a bad day and not something else, like an injury. His throws looked pretty bad without a lot of zip. Maybe I'm just remembering all of the poor ones...

Just an opinion and not a Board Knowitall,

his passes were off, he seemed(to me) to be running a little timid. Maybe a slight shoulder injury he's playing through ?

That was my first fear as well. He was not decisive on his runs or throws. Maybe it was what BC was doing. At least I hope it is.

play calling was very vanilla and bc figured out how to contain bryant. should have just lined up and run feaster and etienne down their throat all day.

It's fun to blow teams out.

It doesn't build character, intensity and develop players but it's fun.

This is typical for a new QB - he has to learn.........

to be consistent and to be confident - also basic things like holding on the ball tighter and making better decisions - but all that comes with playing experience.
But I think he and the whole team will be focused this Saturday like that should have been yesterday. They'll be ready for VT.

They gave us a lot of different looks, loaded 5 and 6 in the box a lot, etc...
No doubt this was a learning experience for the entire team.
Go Tigers, beat VT.

BC brought a lot of blitzes

Overloaded on a weakness on the OL (R tackle) and gave KB no time
Hard to find receivers or put zip on the ball when you have 260 DE closing on you quickly
This is going to the the pattern other teams follow
May have to sacrifice a weapon (RB/WR/TE) to stay in the pocket to protect KB
I'd run option right behind the RT to give the opposing DE reason to pull up
The RT position is just going to have to get better, Pollard is really struggling with the quick feet D ends

There now is quality game film on him, VT will now try to use BC blue print of blitz blitz blitz and pay the price.

Thatswhen we start using Feaster and ENT out the backfield. Roll KB and let him flip it to all that speed . They will stop blitzing then.

Yes theses are the cards we have been holding for VT IMO. Play calling was very vanilla yesterday. Expecting some RB screens and outs to counter the blitz. Also, more jet action to the edge.

We have yet to see the jumbo package with Wilkins and Dexter this year. I wouldn't miss no seeing that against VT and possibly even as a decoy with KB faking the handoff and rolling right to hit Tee Higgins in the back corner of the end zone.

One of the things I was expecting to see more of for Feaster was screens. His SR year at Spartanburg he did that ALOT. Kinda reminded me of how Byrnes used Lattimore. Both great out of backfield.

This season will be a continuous back and forth between Bryant and opposing defenses of adjustments and readjustments. We as fans like to complain but we have no idea of the different reads defenses are giving him. He will learn and move on, but let's not try to make him be Watson. For one he doesn't have the experience nor is he the same kind of Qb. You're not going to get consistent 300 and 400 yard passing performances. He is going to use his legs more to pick up first downs than Watson. Enjoy how the run game has improved instead of complaining about the passing game. Yes it has to get better but I believe it will with more experience.
