BB transfer portal

Would it make any sense bring in a transfer portal center like KJ Williams from Murray State?
That would allow PJ to play at the 4 and Hunter Tyson to play the 3.
Llewellyn and Chase Hunter at guards.
Bench with Middleton, Schieffelin, Hemenway, Beadle
That would seem like a pretty formidable team?

I think we need a wing player more than we need a center, but if a good big man is available we should take him.

Ideally PJ plays the 4, not 5. Unless Brad’s intention is to go smaller most of the time.

Middlebrooks has a lot of upside, and playing more than expected last year helped his development a ton. Freshman big Chauncey Wiggins should get some minutes too, and probably has more upside than any big man in the portal - but he isn’t likely to provide immediate help in terms of starter’s minutes.

Middlebrooks v. a transfer

Middlebrooks seemed to make significant improvement this year. Wouldn't it help to have PJ at the 4 especially at the defensive end? better matchups and less foul trouble. If Middlebrooks can fit the bill, wouldn't that make us a better team?

Hall’s natural position is the 4 if I had my preference. Sure, he can play the 5, but it would be best if he has another big guy on the floor with him.

My only concern with Middlebrooks at 5 and PJ at 4 is that I’m not sure Tyson can defend some of the faster swingmen. If we put him at the 3, will that be a defensive liability?

I could also see Tyson frustrating a lot of smaller players with his length, so it could really benefit us.

I really like the Llewellyn and Chase Hunter backcourt. I also expect Chauncey Gibson to get some good minutes (and help us) next year.

Brad said the other day they need a wing player, and might not use the other spot. Williams is going to a top 10 type team next year probably. The answer maybe at wing is visiting next week:

Makes me crazy when he does not use all the spots. Did it last year and it but us when injuries at center bit us. Seems he would have a win now mentality and load up as much as possible
