Baseball woes come down to one thing, IMHO

Jack just hasn't been hiring the same caliber of assistants that he did in his early days. I don't know all the ins and outs of baseball, but it's pretty clear that the program is not what it once was. Now, before you say it's not fair to judge the state of our program based on our performance us against USC, since they've been at the top of their game lately, I would offer that lately we haven't looked as good even against the ACC, and that's troubling. I would add though that we do seem to play some of our worst games against USC, and I have to believe it's partly mental.

If I recall correctly, 5 out of 6 games last year were 1 run

games. Clemson was very close to winning both series last year. There was nothing wrong with how we played last year against SCar. We had some tough breaks in a few games against them last year. I agree last night was pathetic.

I not defending the main post, because know very little about baseball, but what does only losing by one mean. You win or you lose, period. I'm tried of excuses on why Clemson sports are comming up short. I'm not saying fire everyone, but stop making excuses, and push for the Adminstration to start fixing some of the problems. Clemson has so many positives to offer student-athletes. There is no reason to except this decline in athletic performance.

That South Carolina has better talent than us. I know a lot of tnetters think its true in football, but we've been out coached there.
