Baseball stats

I don't care whether Clemson keeps Monte Lee or the pitching coach not but losing to Louisville is not all on the coaches. In today's game, the stats show that Ville had 9 unearned runs, yes 9 because we had 4 errors. In the 3 games, we left 18 men on base and Ville left 26, we had 32 hits and they had 35 so neither team really pitched great but they did have 13 more strikeouts than we did. Louisville had no errors all weekend and if we had none today, we would not be happy but winning today would have made our chance to make the ACC Tournament an easier task.

So we’re in 13th place in the ACC but you’re going to nitpick errors in this one game to absolve the coaches’ responsibilities?

Absolutely correct, first we don’t have enough scholarships, (Louisville has the same #) then it’s facilities. (Compare ours to Louisville’s), now it’s because of errors. As long as you keep defending Monte this program will remain a back of the pack contender in the ACC. The man never had it and never will.

Exactly why louisville probably won't make it very far in the regionals. Their pitching depth is nil... Maybe less than ours.

Errors are a part of baseball. It happens. Louisville also didn't have a homerun until today's game when the wind was kicking up and blowing out. As for the 6 runs in the 9th, it's because lvile didn't bring in the last pitcher until it was almost too late.
