his last column predicted the Tiger football season with losses to the Noles and dirt peckers....paper probably received many complaints...I thought he was just a poor writer.

Initial rumor a week or 10 days ago was he posted something on FB about the Martin/Zimmerman trial and was released because of that. I have not seen that verified anywhere though.

My coot "friends" always complained about him. They claimed he spent way too much time writing about us. They call the Greenville News the Greenville Paws. They were livid (I loved it) when he was writing about Clem grads in the NFL and they were in the CWS. No columns in their last appearance. I didn't particularly like him but I think that goes with the job. Look at how OBS hates the Morris guy at the State. Glad he's gone but be careful what you wish for. Next guy may be a muchraker looking to make a "journalistic" name for himself.

pumping, and that was before Ray Tanner bullied the state. Shamecock fans get their panties in a wad over any article that will tell the truth about them. Ron Morris would write about 2-3 columns per year telling the truth about SCU, while all the rest of his columns were shamecock sunshine pumping.
