If the OBL operation had been carried out while he was in office we would have heard the self righteous indignation about him being shot on sight and unarmed, about ''assassination squads', and certainly about Gitmo and interrogation methods. That this would have happened is not conjecture; it was already being said.

I hesitated to even chime in with you on that, because the dems say exactly the same type of thing. While Obama bleeds us dry with red ink their response is "But (fill in the blank)". It doesnt matter who is doing the deed. All that matters is whether what is being done is right.
I dont know how we reached the point where a decision cannot be weighed on its on merits or outcome, but must at all cost be defended politically, and if it cant be then dredge up some other poor dead guy to landblast. Both sides do it. I think this attitiude is killing us more than a revisionist president - as bad as that is - because it is what allows him to do it.

First, he's kept every single domestic policy in place that liberals railed about. He hasn't closed gitmo. But he's gone further than Bush ever did with the drones. Obama has a kill list and he assassinates people known to be on that list as terrorists with drones all over the world.
I don't really have a problem with the policy. I wish Bush had the leeway to use the drones that way without being called a war criminal. But the hypocrisy is amazing and distasteful among the left with Obama.
