How do we actually have a better team next year?
Trotter, Carter , Wiggins, XT, Davis, Ruke go to be league… there goes the defense.
Unless we keep wesco and moore and they are ready day 1, I don’t see our WR corps getting better
OL is an entire set of issues….
So barring we fire Grisham and Austin, and honestly maybe Wes G and dip in the portal , how are we a better team talent and coaching wise next year?

the offensive staff, let Riley run it and fill a few key holes from portal. Otherwise, next year could be worse.

I think he finally takes a step back and turns it completely over to Riley. Riley will clean house and bring in some experienced coaches. Problem will be getting players. Even going to the portal there still a limited number of scholarships. Unless he actually lets Riley revoke some of the family scholarships too.
D is going to struggle next year, at least for a while. So he maybe facing the same crap next year but on te other side of the ball. Could be 2 years or more before it gets fixed.

I think he’s got a good mind for the game and a savant for a brother. But the normal things like teaching the QB position or developing professional relationships with experienced, seasoned coaches seems like it could be overreach.
I mean look at the Spring game when Dabo went over and asked him questions. Not a lot of confidence there. I don’t know much about Sonny Dykes other than that he’s put together at least 4 staffs as a HC and he’s been around the Air Raid as long as it’s been around. So maybe the rocket he was building just needed some gas. Insert Riley.
At best, Dabo’s rocket was built around a copy of Malzahn’s offense; and it’s not Air Raid.

That's what FSU did and that's what we will have to do. Otherwise, more of the same and recruiting continues to fade away.

Sadly, the program has been getting progressively worse since the 2020 season. Any coach that had a positive impact is now gone. I just don’t see this train wreck getting better. It will get a lot worse before it gets better

I agree, nothing coming in is going to help the OL next year. If we don’t get a couple of big uglies out of the portal, next year will be another challenge on offense.

If they don’t do tons of portal and fire these JV coaches. No offense to any JV coaches on here. Next year those studs on D are gone and the offense will be low talent players a year older with the same bad coaching.
Massive overhaul will have to be done.

Unfortunately, it has taken this level of deterioration for Dabo to acknowledge the mistakes he has made.
Not hiring the best assistants, not developing players when he continues to tout that he runs a developmental program, not using the portal, and being labeled as against NIL due to comments he made years ago about paying players are all mistakes the best coaches are not making.
Dabo has to decide if he is going to be willing to change his approach. This has happened over 3 years, not 1.

A lot of us have been questioning it for a while, but it was dismissed as “ungrateful” and “spoiled” because we were still winning the majority of the games. What gets me is if we could see it, how could they not?

Dabo never hired the best assistants in the first place. Before you say, "Venables!!!!," I'm talking about the entire staff. Currently, there are 4 former Clemson players on the staff. Do you know how many former Clemson players were on the staff as far back as 2016? The same number, 4.

Going to have to dip into the portal for LB with Carter and Trotter moving on. We have Woodaz and hopefully still keep Brown. But who else do we have?
