Clear from warm ups we had stronger, deeper team. Only a barrage of unlikely 3s by Tech and failure to pound inside could lose game. Brownell decides to forego big lineup to play down to Tech and players (especially Chase) continue to stupidly (and badly) shoot 3s. Pretty sure we could heave from half court 21 times and hit at least 4. Yes, players (bigs) must hit the bunnies and all need to be more clutch at line, but the failure to recognize and emphasize strengths was as evident tonight as for the entirety of Brownell’s mediocre tenure. In bonus w 10 minutes to go and failed to close this out at the line. Good teams don’t allow that to happen, especially at home. Another in a long line of disappointing and needless losses. Absent an historic run, the eventual committee already has ample ammo to shoot down NCAA dreams for another year. Long tired of Brownell underachievement and over compensation
