Texas A&M supporters go after Clowney
Aug 8, 2013, 1:45 PM
|
|
I live in the Austin Texas area and my son in law is an Aggie. He reads the Aggie football equivalent of Tigernet. He indicated yesterday that many Aggie supporters are searching eBay and other sites looking for J. Clowney autographed items from the same dealer that hooked Johnny Manziel. They apparently have found it with the same sequential numbering system as found on Manziel. So Steve Spurrier's cry of innocence on ESPN for Clowney may just be eyewash.

Tell him to NOT be fooled by autographs that are spelled incorrectly. That is okay. It is still the same guy.
Have him look for shirtless pictures of the ole sack with a beer in his hand. There could be a few of those circulating too.
Pay close attention to anything with The Whitney Hotel and Lodging on it. Might be a napkin, stationary or even a receipt showing direct bill to illegible source.
But dig and dig hard!

Here's the thing.....

why would Manziel, Clowney, or anyone else for that matter, take the time and effort to sign hundreds of items at no cost for someone else to re-sell them for a big profit.
The simply fact of the matter is, they wouldn't.

But catching them with money will be very hard to do and prove. Just by the thug selling it will never prove nothing unless he is paying them by check or money orders. Even with as dumb as we believe the Clown is, he would never except either.

"hogwash" may be closer to the truth
Anyone not a gamecock fan who expected anything other than the response issued by chickentech doesn't have a grasp of the reality of the situation. "Doo-doo" is the marquis name of a program thats been on NCAA probation most of the last 10 years. Expecting a voluntary "mea culpa" from them is pure fantasy.
The similarities between "Doo-doo" and Johnny "Football" insofar as being paid for signing sequentially numbered memorabilia is just too overwhelming to believe "Doo-doo" didn't receive compensation. The same guy told ESPN he'd paid Manzell $7500.
And I don't blame him for taking the dough either. I'd probably have done the same thing and then initially denied complicity when questioned about it. But believing that usuck conducted a thorough investigation into the matter is just fantasy.

they weren't going to launch a massive publicity campaign for "Doo-doo"'s inclusion in the Heisman voting. I think any questions about usuck backing off from the "Clowney for Heisman" were answered when his name came up in connection with the same autograph broker Manzell took cash from.

Don't be fooled. They aren't just going after clowney.

They are going after EVERYONE.
Marquis Lee, Braxton Miller, De'Anthony Thomas, Teddy Bridgewater, Tajh Boyd, Sammy, Taylor Lewan, zach mettenberger, Arron Murray, AJ Mccarron, Gurley, Marshal, T.J. Yeldon the Nkimdeche brothers and the list goes on and on and on. These are just the players I saw and can remember where they had found records of their signatures in the database. If you've heard of a player in the NCAA, they are/were looking for "dirt" on them.
Edit to add Jeff Driskel, Montee Ball, Derek Carr, Ka'Deem Carey.
I saw a link to that thread come across twitter yesterday, and read thru part of it. I was UNBELIEVABLE. Something like 1500 posts and over 100K views. They've since hidden the thread and it cannot be accessed if you aren't a member of their site.
What they were doing was using scripts to automatically access the MILLIONS of records on the signature authentication websites and seeing just who showed up. They were then trying to see who had sequential authentication numbers, what the items were. The were also trying to see if they could figure who the dealers/brokers were that was selling the memorabilia based on the authentication numbers. I have never seen anything like it before.
They aren't after Clowney, they are after the NCAA. I think their goal is to call out their hypocrisy.

He doesn't want to know what's going on so then he can plead ignorance and noone can accuse him of doing anything illegal.

Of course Clowney is going to be fine! Just as long as he don't have to take any test or exams by himself.

The NCAA doesn't have the balls to do anything to OSU, UNC, Auburn, Oregon, Cam Newton, etc, etc, they sure aren't going to suspend two of their most marketable players for the year.
The investigation will get drug out, anything that happens will be after both have played and gone on to the NFL.

I just think its funny when it says the " Autographs Ok'd by schools" lol well of course its ok'd! You really think Spurrier or S.C. would come out and say..."Well we have some sad news and have to admit some wrong doing by Clowney with autographs" Its pointless to even say a school ok'd it of anything wrong. If there was they would just cover it up before any NCAA investigation....so from them "THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!"

It was from the same dealer that Manziel signed with, so not innocent yet. Just because Spurrier says innocent , doesn't mean he will not be investigated. Plus, your man Clowney will screw up eventually.
