Friday night, out to dinner a Chicora Alley in TR then home to relax and watch horror movies.
Saturday, up early to go get a new piece for my new string trimmer that I broke instantly. It was some piece of metal the the loop handle that got bent because I didn't do something correctly. Then to Lowe's for some stuff and spent most of the afternoon working in the shop. The evening saw Sharkgirl and I go to the Hayes Carll and Corb Lund show at the Gunther Theater. First time I'd been there, kinda neat place. As we walked out, I heard some fool say "Hayes is kind of a lib-tard. I didn't kill him like I should have.
Sunday, beer brew day, smoked some chicken wings before the rains came, not much else.

Good - took wife and kids fishing Fri afternoon and we caught 56 crappies in under 2 hours
Good - Fished a tournament Saturday morning and finished 4th
Bad - Finishing 4th doesn't win anything in the tournament
Good - Went to church Sunday morning
Good - Went out to eat afterwards
Bad - Migraine symptoms kicked in at the restaurant
Bad - Vomited my lunch into the toilet back at home and some splashed back out onto my person. Got in shower and spewed more in the shower, turkey got stuck in drain
Good - Watched a movie with kids and chilled out

I've got something downstairs in the closet that doesn't work. I don't know what it is.
What works is spewing my guts out in the toilet, then I am all better. Fortunately, it is only 1X per year.

Spent the last few days on Sugar Mtn. Had dinner sattidy night at the Peddler in Boone (excellent BTW). Visited the White Crow Event Venue, NW of Boone in the middle of nowhere. Kiddo plans to get hitched there next spring. Beautiful place.
10/10 (19/19 on the RH Covids scale) with additions for the filet sattidy and a slight deduction for weather yesterday on the drive home.
Wood due a gin.

The temp finally broke 80 degrees. That was real nice.
Friday - Took care of some outdoor chores. The most important was giving the dog a bath and getting the winter off. Met some friends for beers that evening
Saturday - Got together with the fam to celebrate April birthdays. Apparently July is a very fertile month for us.
Sunday - Lazy day. A bunch of nothing happened.

any weekend with Clemson football is always awesome
$11 for a 16 oz. death valley mich ultra, extrapolates to $16.50 for a 24 oz., will not be partaking in the fall and will rely on mini bottles
loved the new spring game format, I can invest 1.5 hours in a complete spring game any day, tailgate was awesome, dogs love hanging out
Yonder Mtn. rocked out, John Stickley joined them, they did 2 hits and the joint turned brown, $10 32 oz. Wicked Weed beer was tasty, slice of pizza from Manicomio during the show was nice, Thai Pearl before the show is always good
rain held off until the way home
10/10 wood due again!

Friday Night: Visited Charlotte to see comedian Jeff Arcuri. Ate good too
Saturday: Volunteer work with kids in community. Saw Minecraft Movie. It was so cheesy, but the crowd participation and cheering was fun.
Sunday: In bed sick. No clue what happened, but everything hurt. Must have slept 18 hours yesterday. Work up this morning feeling way better (hope it keeps up).

The highlight was Saturday night. My boys played their first gig at our local wine and beer spot.
My oldest has played with another band around a few places, but it was the first time my younger 2 played publicly. They rocked a solid 3-hour set and made some nice tips. Sounds like they may get some more gigs around town soon so I've been looking for some sound equipment for them (borrowed stuff for Saturday).

Friday: made birria (or quesabirria, whatev) for the first time, learned some lessons that'll make the next time pretty spot on, things like "less ground clove" and "more stock" and "take out some of the consomme before adding shredded meat back in". Otherwise, it was pretty effin' good, crushed some birria tacos on the Stone.

Made WAY too much, so birria leftovers all weekend before it goes in the freezer. Made birria ramen out of an instant ramen bowl from Costco on Saturday, that might have ended up better than the tacos.

Repaired and slapped 3 coats of paint on the mailbox after the HOA finally noticed what a mess it was. Turned chickens game on in time to see the last 4 minutes, which was perfect. Mowed the weeds in the backyard after a buddy welded my mower handle back together.
7.5/10, didn't do much, but reasonably productive.

I have no structure, I stay up too late at night and sleep too late in the, I drink too much, and I eat like an unsupervised small child. Still, the highlights were:
Thursday, the full acoustic band got together and ran through the setlist at a MUDIUM volume for the first time in maybe 7 or 8 months. We were RUSTY, but we had a blast.
Friday, I think all I ended up doing was firing up the griddle to make teriyaki fried rice.
Saturday, spent all afternoon at Winthrop Lake for the Come See Me beer garden. A friend of ours plays with the Well Drinkers so went to see themplay . Good set overall but I'm guessing the city pulled volunteers from the grounds crew to do sound because they were clueless. We waited an hour for the Asheville Mountain Boys to get there before finally leaving without seeing them. Went home and made homemade pizza.
Sunday, Hayes Carll and Corb Lund song swap at the Blumenthal Theatre. It was freaking fantastic. Hayes asked if his picture was still up on the wall in the Thirsty Beaver, he told the story of him playing there years ago and hinted that he and Corb might drop in so we HAD to go just in case. The Waymores had just finished playing so we hung out shooting the breeze with a couple of regulars we know from Gastonia until around 11:30 before heading back to RH.

Corb said he was gonna play all military history songs and Hayes said he'd try to go toe-to-toe with him, LOL. He had to explain to most of the crowd what the song was about though. Also made me remember that Lala's is still on my list of places to get to. Mrs. and I stopped there on the way to meet y'all in Round Rock but it wasn't open when we stopped.

Golfy and boozy
Fri - 1st day of member-member/member-guest tourney. Teamed up with brother. Played just ok, not terrible. Got put into 3rd flight.
Sat - Shot only a couple shots better than Friday, but it was just so much better all around. Won our flight going away, swept all of our bets, won some hat pool money, won some pro shop credit. Da>mn good day, and celebrated like it was.
Sun - pretty chill day. Went to the golf course and met some of the Sirius XM PGA tour radio guys who had just gotten in for Masters week and they have a Palmetto Golf Club addiction. Had all 3 of my chirrens with me for a good part of the day. Went and played the early bingo session, then downtown for the late session. No one won anything - poot.
Overall really good weekend. I'm really, really, really tired today. Masters week! Be out there for meetings tomorrow and Wednesday, then working Thursday - Sunday. Going to be really, really, really tired next Monday as well.

Friday: had the spring game at Anderson University, Sharty is in charge of the chain crew there
Satday: another long day at the track. PR'd in the 400 with a 49.58, medaled in 3 out of 4 events
Sunday: baby shower for some frands then caught up on Bosch: Legacy
Overall: 6/10 because of the unexpected death of a frand on Satday; if you've ever been to the NAPA in Seneca no doubt you met Harry...RIP

Cooked a mean steak with a decent wine. Watched some MASCAR.
But the kids stole the show. Oldest son won an orchestra competition at Carowinds on Saturday. His younger brother is in Scouts and spent the weekend at Darlington. Walked the track, met with drivers, watched both races, got pit access, the works.

Friday - Billy Strings in St Augustine. Dude puts on a great show. Did Knights In White Satin Moody Blues, plus JJ Cale's Ride Me High, and the only 2 Billy songs I know, All Fall Down and Dust in a Baggie
Buddies paid for everything so sweet. Went to after party show with Billy Gilmore of Grass is Dead, but only stayed for 3 songs because 96 mile drive home
Saturday - original plan was to see incredible Allman's tribute called Steelin Peaches, but other MSynan was tired an me too, so Final 4 on TV2 and Orlando City got a draw on the road. Suck it Dukkies. Ice cream cake for bday, and Tibby's takeout, a good Cajun food restaurant
Sunday - binged the entire season 2 of Shrinking. Really like that show. Nekkar on TV2, Denny win again. Represent Chesterfield County! Made the fam tikki masaala over white rice, and they loved it
19/19 COVIDS, sure hope I'm alive to do it next year

Friday afternoon, the Park notifies the public Spring Biking is open. The snowplows have done a lot in the interior, but the weather isnt reliably warm enough to keep snow off for these April storms. So we get a two week window to ride without car traffice
Saturday, did about 28 miles. first three are a climb then its rolling. Two year old did well for that long.
Sunday, biked to the fishing spot. water was chalky with runnoff, no fish. still nice.

I have come to the sad realization that I do not have what is described as a "weekend". I have one day where I get caught up from the previous week and another where I prepare for the week ahead.
I did watch about 5 minutes of what was advertised as basketball. Florida-Auburn. I suppose it was basketball by definition. It looked more like a pickup game (no blood-no foul). 3 Refs on the floor was a total waste of money.
Watched a little of the Women's amateur at Augusta. Mainly to get my first look at the course post Helene. I am now thoroughly convinced that NBC should never broadcast golf of any kind and to sell off all their interest in the Golf Channel. I must have missed the part where NBC showed some of the changes to the golf course, Mike Tirico had very little to say (but that didn't stop him from talking) and as the winner (from Spain) made her way to the clubhouse she ran into Masters Champion Jose Maria Olazabal (also from Spain) only for NBC to miss the moment entirely and cut to commercial. They did come back to it on replay, but missed a very golden opportunity live.
Sunday - Church then tried to watch the last quarter of the women's game. See above. I did get some things done productively. Purged my closet yet again to get rid of clothes I no longer wear and hosed off the front porch.

had ankle surgery last Fri and in a soft splint with no weight on ankle until (hopefully) this coming Friday, so I didn't leave the greater den/bedroom/bathroom area of the house and haven't since the surgery. I've got steps out of all exits of the house and I quickly determined there was a high chance of injuring myself worse (or outright killing myself) trying to go up/down stairs on crutches.
Crutches are a young man's game. I remember being on crutches at certain times during high school AND Clemson and it was a bit of a pain, but didn't stop from going anywhere. Well, that time has passing...big time.
Anyways...ate take out, watched basketball, and otherwise didn't do sheet.

Where were you, who were you with, and what happened, in great detail, and in a raspy voice, right meow.

It was all involved. Women (womAn, blondie from Cali, the type you don’t pay for), dranks, tables, dispensary, food, sports book. Everything BUT sleep.
I may go to bed at 5pm today.

In case you don't speak Spanish, it means 'The Vegas' in English.

Agreed. I wish I'd have heard about it about 35 vegas trips ago.

Gotta be one of the greatest state parks in the history of state parks. Well, at least when compared with Paris Mountain anyways.

Was at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala for a fantastic show weekend. Trying to buy a 2nd horse, do not recommend letting your kids sit horses when they are little.
Kids did their own thing (it's like disney world for horse people) and mom's all had dinner and drinks and took it back to the hotel where some moms started to share some eyebrow raising things... ie the cute little conservative looking woman who confessed to a piercing in a spot I didn't even know piercings could go.
Looong weekend but I'm super proud of my kiddo and it's worth it to see her working hard and doing her thang. Doing it all over again this weekend.
KMS is still in the lead in her office bracket, I picked UF and Houston with Houston going all the way.
