made all the concessions we are going to make. No more--do whatever you need to do but we can't give up any more.

It’s all just stupidity at this point. College football is becoming a joke to myself. Why don’t they just tell the ACC and Big 12 that they do not want to play ball with us anymore. The writing is on the wall. Just go ahead and rip the band aid off already instead of just squeezing us out slowly.

It is becoming a joke. A rigged outcome in a sense, run by two mob bosses.

Fans of ACC and Big XII need to avoid watching SEC and B1G games. No need to help their ratings and sponsors and business model. I’ll watch the ACC race and big non conference games.

If we're relying on American self control and discipline to correct this issue, go ahead and give up now.

See our political system and the amount of obesity in the country for reference.

No, counting on college fans of every other school outside the Big2 to lose interest, though I’ve spoken to plenty of casual fans who don’t know the difference and will watch anything.

The issue is and has been money. ESPN sought to prostitute college football, and the SEC and B1G hiked their skirts, but the reasoning seemed so lame. College sports had tradition and rivalries that made it great. Now all that matters is money, so college sports are just the minor leagues of football and basketball. But how many people are really interested in the minor leagues?

The only way forward is for the non-SEC & BigX NCAA schools, who hold a majority, to simply say no and that any future changes those conference want will require them to leave the NCAA in all sports. It’s the only leverage they have and they need to stop negotiating with terrorists.

I think the ACC and the Big 12 are going to have to come up with their own noncon scheduling agreement. It's looking more and more like the SEC and B1G are and the SEC is going to go to 9 conference games IMO.
I look for our future 4 games with UGA to be dropped as well as the 2 against OU. We will be in better shape in scheduling P4 noncon games than a lot of ACC schools since we have SC and if more games with ND goes through but the regular season schedules will become repetitive and boring.

If you're referring to a breakaway of 60 or so teams, it won't happen unless the SEC and B1G get on board with it. So far, they seems to like things just the way they are.

With two automatic qualifiers I would make new divisions in the ACC

Premier Division:
Clemson
FSU
Miami
UNC
SMU
Notre Dame (They will play everyone in the division but remain an independent)

Other Division:
Everyone Else

The regular season champion of the Premier Division is awarded a spot in the CFP.

The second place team in the Premier Division plays the first place team in the Other Division in Charlotte for a spot in the CFP.

The premier division plays a 5-game round robin and 3 cross over games.

Notre Dame remains Independent and cannot qualify for one of the ACC’s two spots in the CFP unless they join the ACC in full. Notre Dame continues to play 5 ACC games a year in accordance with their current contract so long as they remain partial members.

The teams in the Premier Division change periodically based upon previous results.

ND can f off. ACC needs to quit scheduling games with them if they won't join.

Notre Dame has surpassed FSU as the most exciting game that the ACC schedules for Clemson.

If Notre Dame was on our 2025 schedule that would be the most exciting game of the year "period". More exciting than LSU.

You got it. College Football has become the new NASCAR. They have altered the original product so much over the last 10 years that a serious sense of apathy has settled over most fans. Now the viewers will start to tune out, and based on the initial returns from the last NC game they have already started. Big Media and Big Gambling have destroyed what was once a favored pastime. Now they are trying to do the same thing with baseball.

we absolutely must play at the top level to be of any value, but I find it all just gross.

It would be great if a whole new organization were created with everyone that is not the SEC and Big Ten. A full dismantling of these monstrosities and a restructuring of collegiate athletics. Limits on conference size and conference geography in the interest of student-athlete health. The ACC could drop the teams to the west and north...maybe Clemson, FSU, GT, Miami, UNC, NCSU, VT, UVA...Duke or Wake. Nine teams max with every team playing every team and that is it. Twice in Basketball. Pitt, Syracuse, BC, Louisville...let them join with West Virginia, Uconn, UMass, Cincy...I dunno...Temple? Whatever. Just get more regional. Better for the fans...better for the student athletes. Better for the sports.

No need to attack this...it's all just a fan's pipe dream. But the sport is ridiculous now. I can't believe we expect athletes from BC to travel to Stanford to play a sport.

thing. I've always said that a robust NFL Developmental League would be a great way to strip away all the kids that "know" that their future is in the NFL. Let them prepare for that, then, and stop making a mockery of collegiate athletics.

And since there's no market for that (as I keep pointing out every time someone says that the only reason people watch college sports is because of the players...clearly not, because no one has set-up just a 20 team NFL Developmental league to pull all the collegiate super stars...because no one would watch it), let the B1G and SEC be that. If that's your thing...then there's your product. And that's great if that's the case. The rest of us can enjoy college sports, instead of professional development league sports loosely affiliated with nearby universities.

Naturally, conferences should have 8. When you have 10 or 12, that was deemed "big"

If they expand to 16 what they out to do is say sure, but all 10 of the NCAA CFP level conference champs should be seeded in the top 10 spots no matter how badly they suck. Yup , alot of gimme play-off games, but if you elevate all the conference champs to at least have a swing at the title it will help even out all of college football in the long run. The SEC and Big10 schools should be told that if they have sour grapes about not getting in they should join a different conference.

It’s not up to the Big10 and the SEC. Ultimately Disney and Fox have the final say. If the Big 12 and ACC can’t make the playoffs would it hurt viewership for ACC and Big 12 tv games? If so, there is always going to be spots in the playoffs.
Big 10 and SEC can break off when the current CFP TV contract is up.

The SEC and Big have been told if they will break off, themselves, and form their own league and playoff they will probably TRIPLE the revenue they now rake in. They have the viewership and the attendance now. They probably don't know if they want to do that not knowing the nuclear effect it will create. I'm not liking the current state now. Players leaving whenever they want and they will go to the highest bidder. Can you imagine not knowing if you can fill your roster with so many leaving every year? The colleges raked in ALL the money through the decades. Now, the athletes have them by the throat. All the fans are getting, or already are, sick of this mess.
