Can the Braves turn it around?

They need to get one tonight and then get 3 against the Marlins. That would put them at 4-6 heading into the PHI series.
The teams they have lost to are a combined 13-0. Going 1-34 with RISP doesn’t help.

The Braves have played the two best teams in baseball. one, may very well be the best team of all time. The Braves will be fine....

Not until they find a trade partner for Acuna. This guy has helped them win what? They won the title when he injured. He played in several high stakes playoff games and stunk it up. The gold chains around hus neck are more valuable than he is to the Braves.

This team has to many main parts that are not available or not performing. Profar is by far a huge disappointment, I don't see how he could possibly think he would not be tested. Hopefully they can get back to .500 and make a push when Strider, Acuna and Murphy are back. The bull pen is just bad, the starters are excellent, I was going to say some of the hitters need to pick it up but they all do. Snit has his work cut out for him!

Heck, we chased SD’s starters out of the game early the first two nights. They will definitely have to make some bullpen moves.

They should have shored-up the bullpen in the offseason.

Freeman leaving was not on the GM. He made a final offer to Freeman's agent that would have paid him more, figuring in California income taxes, than he's making in LA and for the same length contract. The agents never posed the option to Freeman. Freeman didn't find out about the final offer until his first trip with LA back to ATL. He fired that agency group soon after. Established professional superstars don't fire agents unless the agents make an egregious error. His did. AA could take some blame for not getting Freeman's extension done sooner.
Not trading Fried last year at the deadline was totally on the GM. Fried made it known very early he was going to test the free agent market. We could have got a load of young arms and talent for him. At the time SD and NY needed starting pitchers and both were in dog fights trying to make the playoffs. Both their minor league systems are loaded with talent.

as a Yankee fan, our minor league system is NOT loaded with talent. at least not talent that we would part ways with for a rental pitcher coming off an injury. You probably could have got some cash, and a player or two ranked around #15 or #16 in our farm system. Braves definitely weren't getting Spencer Jones, Jasson Dominguez, or George Lombard. They've been declared "untouchables" for a while now.

Fried wasn’t coming off of any substantial injury. He’s been one of the most durable pitchers in MLB the last 8 seasons and his metrics have remained constant. The Yankees would have traded for him, especially if he was willing to sign an extension. SD would have forced the issue. As far as the farm leagues are concerned the Yankees are still ahead of the Braves. Our farm system has been decimated by the Sean Murphy and Matt Olsen trades. Couple that with the call ups and we only have a few prospects. Last I looked in late 2024, we only had 1 player in the MLB 150 prospects. Waldrop may have entered since then.

They are literally still missing two all-stars in the lineup.

They are absolutely sleep at the plate when they are batting. There is no life on the bench. Someone needs to light a fire under them. Several games, the pitchers have done their part but no back up from their bats.

At one time, they were 1 of 34 with RISP. That's a dismal .029 average...

I wish. I hope. I doubt it. Acuna can’t stay healthy. No one else can hit. I was embarrassed watching them this weekend! Something has to give. Maybe it starts with the GM?! Find that next guy that’s going to build consistency using the farm system and strategic free agency acquisitions.

the team is willing to spend to address needs, some fans and analysts question the team's offseason activity, suggesting a reluctance to make significant moves, despite having the financial flexibility.
Lip service from the GM. Either put-up or shut up!

The GM can only spend what he’s allowed to. Look above the GM.
If hitting doesn’t improve they need to start looking at coaching. I know missing Acuna is a lot, but too many good bats on that team to be going into a second year of not being able to produce consistently on offense.
