Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles both saw this coming.

Feel bad for Frost. Nothing would have been more satisfying for him than to lead his Alma Mater to successful seasons.

I really couldn't ever feel sorry for someone that gets paid 7.5 million for getting fired. Please tell, what is there to feel sorry about. I would want to be fired every year for $7.5 million. I'm serious, there are hundreds of thousands of people getting fired every year that will lose most of what they have, and not knowing how they will feed their family until their next chance for employment!!! The only thing that disappoints me about his firing, is that he gets $7.5 million, and he should never need another job, unlike those that will need another job to go to before the week was out, and they don't know where that will be. Those are the ones that should have our sympathy, surly not the ones that were making millions a year, and when they are fired, they get a cash payout in the multimillion$$$$$$!!!!

He's actually getting $15 million

Sep 11, 2022, 2:40 PM

It would have only been $7.5 million if they waited until October 1 to fire him. That's how bad they wanted him gone.

If you do a story, it would be nice to at least say who the new coach will be.

Another stupid move by Nebraska

Sep 11, 2022, 1:57 PM

If they could have saved 7.5 million by waiting until Oct.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Figure they decided it was worth go bite the bullet & get ahead on the coaching search

Sep 11, 2022, 3:46 PM

Plus gives plenty of time to get their ducks in a row to prep for NSD, portal activity, etc for the next coach.

Also gives chance to see how the interim HC does (Joseph served as a lower division HC, so he's got experience. Plus he's Nebraska alum too, if he manages to have a respectable finish, sure he gets a long look)

What's a little 7.5 million when you will be playing with the new B1G TV money soon?

I think Duke beating Northwestern was the final straw, even after losing to Ga Southern.

Now what for Frost, he and his family goes on another vacation somewhere they don't get so frosty during the winter months. In fact, they could stay at an ocean front apartment in Maui Hawaii, until April or May, and bc he has so much money, he wouldn't even miss what it cost him!!!

no.. he's just speaking truth. imagine this: you get fired from your current job. (assuming you're working and not retired or something).. who is gonna feel the worst about your firing? YOU.. you've lost your income.. you've lost your financial stability. you're not sure what to do, now..

now, imagine this: you get fired from your current job and handed $15 million as you leave. are you gonna feel sorry for yourself? no. so, should anyone else? no.

Uh, for 15 mil buyout on top of the millions made in salary, I’m guessing he could buy one outright.

He should have stayed at UCF. It was not meant to be. No Cornhusker glory.

Sep 11, 2022, 4:13 PM

Nah. I remember the crap they gave me leading up to the 1981 National Championship game. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fanbase. Except the Coots, Dawgs, 0-2 Irish, Tar Holes....
