Add Florida to the loss list and they're going 7-5. It may be a toss-up but I see the Gators taking it to them.

They picked us beating Arkansas, don't really recall

the reason, I suppose the head coach shake-up.
They were teetering with giving Georgia and Florida the win over us, but decided to give it to us after a little bickering.
Their reason for us beating Clemson is kind of comical though. We "keep all the in-state talent" with getting the last 4 Mr. Football in the state. Even I know Clemson recruits a heck of a lot better than we do.

he may have been a legit possibility until they lost, IMO, one of the best running backs coaches in the nation. Then lost one #### of a S&C coach to Penn St. Also starting the season with new linebackers and special teams coaches. Not to mention a new defensive coordinator. And who did they lose to the draft??
Yes they have talent....but 10-1? I just dont think they'll be that lucky.

South Carolina has six (6) toss-up games on their schedule..
Jul 17, 2012, 4:45 PM

Unless they lose all six, which is not likely IMO, they should finish better than 6 - 6.
They will beat Vandy, ECU, UAB, Kenticky and Wofford.
Beating LSU in Red Stick is highly unlikely.

a hard time up there lately-but UK is TERRIBLE), at UF, and Arky. They WILL lose to LSU. Tennessee will be better this year.
They'll be lucky if they split vs. CU, Mizzou, UGAy, and Arky. I say they lose in The Swamp.
9-win season with luck.
No way we give 'em a 4th in a row. At Clemson, our D gets better, their O gets worse (no Alshon), and they lose like half their secondary and D-line.
I'm calling it: 7-5 (losses to Mizzou/UGAy and Arky at home, UF, Clemson, and LSU on the road).
GO TIGERS!

Gilmore may not be, but Ellis Johnson is. A big one! If you think Ward can walk in and replace him, you should quit smokin that crack they sell around the roach!

Ellis Johnson did a good job for us. Lorenzo Ward is a question mark. He may or may not be able to fill Johnson's shoes. We have absolutely no one who may possibly fill Gilmore's shoes.

SG all last season, he was a playmaker. He made things happen. Honestly, I don't want to say that he is an irreplaceable loss. If I could say that, I would. You guys didn't watch us as closely as I did. We have no one of that caliber to do the things he did.

the defense. He did lots of little things that don't show up in the stats. Just one example: the blitz he put on Boyd on the first play of last year's game, set the tone for that game that night. After that, Boyd was terrible. I'd like to say that Gilmore is no loss that can't be replaced. No. You'll see, unfortunately, for us, I might add.

Re: As CockyCoot implies, we have the replacements for DL losses

We lose a lot with him as a leader, and play-maker but Vic Hampton might have even more upside as a pure CB. No doubt Gilmore was valuable from every standpoint including ST, and in the Wild' ####, but having A. Augeste back with a more seasoned VH I'm not really too worried about out CB's now SS that's a whole nother problem.

who do you think the losses are against? i think we take usuc at the valley, dabo won't let it go to 4.so, that leaves fsu in tally as a possibility and who else? just wondering.

and my coots will win 4th straight in the valley. For the first time in decades spurrier has an entire team that believes they are supposed to beat the tigers. Without Sammy the first game of the year vs those other tigers will be more difficult. With Sammy you win that game.
scar will lose to the tigers in death valley but that's LSU. Hogs or Dogs is the other one, lean toward piglets passing game.

They have had a nice run, beating us, Tennessee, Florida and UGA in the same season for two straight seasons, but they won't beat all of those teams this year. I think they lose to LSU, Clemson, Florida and UGA. Maybe Arkansas, too.
