So we have 14 total cases in the US, and now 5 of them are

dead. I'm not great at maths, but this seems higher than 2%.

sounds like we now only have 9 active cases

Mar 2, 2020, 2:40 PM

thats good right?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's better than 14, agreed.***

That we know about.

Mar 2, 2020, 2:51 PM

I'm of the opinion this ish has been around longer than we even are aware, and a lot more people have had it and either got rid of it, or died, and it was blamed on something else.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We only test very sick people

Mar 2, 2020, 2:54 PM

there are 100's if not thousands infected in the USA. Wait a week and watch the number skyrocket like it did everywhere else when they finally started to test.

Right now the number is 96 with 5 deaths.

i thought we only had a couple hundred test kits

Mar 2, 2020, 3:04 PM

how many were used?

How many people tested negative?

How many were not tested?

Re: So we have 14 total cases in the US, and now 5 of them are

Mar 2, 2020, 3:05 PM

What? There were like 34 in CA alone. But 29 of those were repatriated from China.

I think your numbers are incorrect.

Weird. CNN (TV) reported the 14/5 just a bit ago, but it

Mar 2, 2020, 3:27 PM [ in reply to Yeah I see 91 total 2 dead in US*** ]

contradicts what's on their website, so maybe I just missed it being 14 cases in ______ state, or 14 new cases today, or something. Article here agrees with the 5 deaths.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-19b.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Maybe the 5 that died were mouth-breathing neanderthal dolts

Mar 2, 2020, 3:10 PM

so they weren't valued as highly, which would drastically impact the final calculation, because math is weird like that.

With all the publicity that has been given to CV by the media, and sympathies to those that died and their families ... I'd be willing to bet that 99% of us will NOT know a single person who contracted the virus, let alone died from it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think four of them were over 60.

Mar 2, 2020, 4:02 PM

Three, I understand, were in the same nursing home.

My guess is that thousands have...

Mar 2, 2020, 4:54 PM

the virus with most thinking they had a simple case of the flu and have recuperated fully. So many place are seeing people present with the symptoms but don't have the test to determine positively that it's COV 19.

It's most likely we will never have an accurate number for the total cases.
