QB Lawrence yesterday..ran too much & archs ball too high

Jan 7, 2018, 6:27 PM

sometimes which allows defender to get into play (as seen on his 1st INT yesterday).

Had Noticed his high lofting passing tendency in his high school film i watched which he got away with 99% of time due to inferior or slower defenders.

But, still had 99% approval rating for me after watching Saturday. Wow!

the receiver gave up on the ball and didn't attempt to catch it

Bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out

Also releases the ball too quickly once he finds an open target

Is a bit too precise with his throws

Too mobile in a collapsing pocket

Arm is a bit too strong for my taste

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Also, his attitude is way too positive and he...

acts like such a natural leader. What is he hiding?

I'm not sure I believe that. Soetimes he gets really wacked out on either

Jan 7, 2018, 10:37 PM

meds, alcohol, or perhaps a combination. Whatever it is, sometimes he's posting from out in left field. Seems to have no control over it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you really shouldn’t post any more

No shame retiring

He's one of the most kind, gentle and venerable Clemson Tigers I know.

Arches his balls to high?? Guessing yours just hang lower?

He’s young. Honestly I think Deshaun was a better deep thrower with more arch.. got worse we he flattened out. It’s timing and accuracy that matter. Less not forget he had an entire week to get used to these receivers and their speed or lack off. It’s an exhibition game. Only thing that somewhat matters is defense and offense line play. Nothing else in those all star games.

Clarify here. He’s brought back the arch on his deep throws in the NFL. Seems to be working..

Sorry. Not sure if you’re agreeing or not. Great pass. But a 30 yard pass isn’t exactly a “deep ball”. All I’m saying is coaches teach them on a deep ball to had arche so receivers can run under it.

Jan 7, 2018, 6:59 PM

these all-star games, particularly when it comes to QBs. New coaches, new receivers, limited practice, no chemistry or timing, etc.. The consensus is that Trevor Lawrence is the best QB to come out of high school in at least a decade; I didn't see anything Saturday to make me think otherwise. Of course, we'll get a little better idea come spring ball.

Good words. Almost like U read what I just wrote... lol. Still a TU

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Shute, I though he was just throwing it over the defense.

Jan 7, 2018, 7:13 PM

J/K, that's one of the things they mean when they say slowing the game down. You're right, he hasn't been playing against the caliber players he will see next season. I'm glad he's going to be practicing against our speedy secondary. If he can't pass against them KB won't have to worry about his starting job.

Imo, it's not going to take him long to adjust the velocity and trajectory of his throws and working with our WRs (who can actually catch a bullet) will easily set him straight. He certainly has all the ability to do it. Perhaps it's just a matter of confidence in his receivers.

I shared your concerns with TL. He said dont worry, the odds of him winning a national championshion at Clemson are the same odds you get drunk this week.
