Read he has pretty concerning character issues. Honestly would not have minded getting Bruce Ellington over him.

The only WR with size worth a 1st round pick. And the Panthers desperately need one.
I don't think you can ask for a whole lot more in the mid 20s especially when you've created that much of a gap for yourselves at that position.

Wow - Since I never managed to see anyone cover Bryant, I just think Bryant is an excellent pick. Hope he goes 2nd round at least. Someone is going to steal a great pick.

Bryant will make a good backup receiver for someone but will take several years to still develop into a possible starter. I don't really like the Benjamin pick and would have much rather had lee but if you are going to have a big guy that's pretty much one dimensional Benjamin is better than Bryant. Bryant had a couple good games late in the year but we had to give him extra touches in the first few games to determine if he was even going to be able to catch on a consistent basis.

Ours was the quickest pick of the draft. The GM knew who he wanted. We worked Lee out several times pre-draft if we passed him we knew what we were doing.

Let me explain why this is a good pick.The scenario goes like this in the redzone and short yardage situations where panthers struggled vs San Francisco the panthers now have a big answer. Kelvin Benjamin has an 83-inch wingspan Lebron James has 84 inch to put it in perspective. No corner is going to be able to go up and win that jump ball situation if the ball is thrown high enough. He is not an accomplished route runner by any means. However that is why you brought in Cotchery and Avant polished receivers and you get a big raw talent to compliment.

Those quick guys like Ellington will be there later, even tho Ellington is a really good player and I think he will be good. It's hard to come by a guy with that size and ability and ceiling like Benjamin. I think it's a pretty good pick IMO, I think you have a good point with the Ellington comment tho, someone is getting a good one with him
