What quadrant is Clemson basketball in? Like are we quad 1 or what? I don’t know a whole lot about basketball but I was curious. If someone beat us today how good of a win is it for them?

We are a top 30 team based on NET ranking as well as numerous bracketology reports.

Quadrants are not just "where are you ranked"; they are also based on "where is the game being played".

Clemson's NET is high enough that we are a quad 1 opponent for anyone we play.

Here's the full detail.

Quad 1
Home: Opponent NET 1-30
Neutral: Opponent NET 1-50
Away: Opponent NET 1-75

Quad 2
Home: Opponent NET 31-75
Neutral: Opponent NET 51-100
Away: Opponent NET 76-135

Quad 3
Home: Opponent NET 76-160
Neutral: Opponent NET 101-200
Away: Opponent NET 135-240

Quad 4
Home: Opponent NET 161+
Neutral: Opponent NET 201+
Away: Opponent NET 241+


Example
Syracuse is currently NET 86. When we played them away, they were a quad 2 opponent. When we play them at home, they will be a quad 3 opponent.

The general notion is expressed clearly on the NCAA NET website...

"Beating a Top-30 Team at home is considered equally as difficult as beating a Top-75 Team away"

Just the opponent’s ranking. Where the game was played and the score are also factored in. But if you wanna just look at straight rankings; we are currently 25th out of 362 teams in the ranking which puts us in the top 1/3rd of the top quadrant of teams or uncia 1

Youre right margin of victory and efficiency are factored into a teams ranking
