How much did the loss to GT affect your outlook

on tonight's game with Duke? If we had won even by one point in 3 OTs, I would have been really hyped up and expect us to give Duke a tough game but after watching how we blew one chance after another to win,I have much lower expectations than I have felt about any game in my memory. and that's a lot of memory and in a lot of sports. Not really even excited about watching the game..... except to maybe see Vitale's return to TV. ...... and that is not like me at all. How about you guys?

Yep I'm afraid the OT's will take a physical toll on the team physically and the inability to seal a win will hit them mentally. Plus we managed to get the daylights beaten out of Schiff

Probably only because it’s a lifelong habit and I keep coming back for more…
I’m really looking forward to tonight’s game.
Just to see the atmosphere and see our team do the best they can. And who knows…maybe something crazy happens and we win.
Kind of the same feeling I’ve always had, even back in the SHyITt days.

If losing a close game on a sloppy D-level night determines the next game then we shouldn't win the rest of the year.
It's a big game. Juice is there. Crowd is going to be into it because it's a big game against Duke. No excuses to not show up and put up a fight.

This is a huge game, but would have been a lot bigger if we didnt have 2 ACC losses.
I dont expect duke to lose another conference game this year after our game

Playing not to lose vs aggressively playing to win cost us the Tech game. I am not hopeful about the Duke game. With said, I think the team is fired up to be the national spotlight and they will play with a chip on their shoulders. I think it will take our best effort all year to beat Duke.

As I recall, we lost in OT at home to GT last year...

And played good ball afterwards. I believe we got robbed at Cameron shortly after the GT loss. Might have been the next game. No doubt a tough test, but expecting us to play well tonight. Go Tigers!!!

It's hard to base a whole lot off of one basketball game. So many contributing variables. We are what we are; but how each team responds and performs on any given night can vary wildly. Better teams are able to minimize all of that, but never prevent it altogether.

The only thing about losing that game vs Ga Tech is if lose today as underdogs today, they have to win that game Monday night vs UNC as a must win in a very short turnaround.
Fortunately, UNC is playing today also vs Pitt now. Beating Pitt in the 1st half.

I think we might play better coming off of a loss, but for all I know it is a mismatch and Duke is too talented. I think we will be out there giving it our all though and will be a better team than we were vs Gtech.

Im not concerned about how it left me feeling. I'm hoping it did not deflate our players. Maybe the closs loss will help our players focus.
