Didn't you hear? He's a jew hating holocaust denier, or something. Doesn't really matter as long as the racist leftists can use it to justify voting against one of those people.

I looked it up. ####!
He called the Holocaust "hogwash". He posted on Facebook at that the figure of 6 millions Jews killed by the Nazis is false. On a podcast in 2019, he endorsed a theory that Jewish bankers were one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
Hey RememberTheDanny... you still endorse this guy? A Holocaust denier?
Apparently he also opposed integration because it hurt black businesses. Sounds like you found a winner!

The closing ad was terrific. I was born in NC, own land in NC, but live in SC.
I don’t know enough about Robinson or Stein, but if I were still a citizen of NC, Stein would have to really bring it to prevent me from voting Robinson.

stand is for a black man to have an opinion that is counter to their leftist dogma. When that black man actually has the audacity to espouse his opposing opinions to leftist dogma - the left goes from "can't stand" to "he must be destroyed". That is what the left has attempted to do (and will continue to try and do) to Mark Robinson.
This Governor's race in NC is going to be as nasty as they come and fully expect lots of outside NC money to be spent going after Mark Robinson.

How do you feel about him expressing his opinions that the Holocaust was "hogwash," that the 6 million Jewish people killed is false, and that Jewish bankers are one of the four horsemen, and that integration was bad for black people?
Please let me know know how these views go against "leftist dogma".

Welp...

I've got some neighbors who are members of the local Cleveland County Republicans that went to a fundraiser for Mark Robinson in Gaston County. They asked him specifically about this "Holocaust" issue. His response was a complete affirmation of the Holocaust as having happened and his support for the State of Israel and the Jewish people. I didn't hear it myself but have no reason to believe my neighbors are lying to me.
Combine that with what Robinson has recently posted regarding the Holocaust:
https://twitter.com/markrobinsonNC/status/1751409583329890463
and
https://twitter.com/markrobinsonNC/status/1762841058008842471
I'm satisfied that Mark Robinson is not an anti-Semite or a Holocaust denier...
Robinson has been very vocal in his belief that there are only 2 genders that are biologically determined (male and female), affirmed he is guided by his Christian beliefs, strongly supports the 2A, and opposes critical race theory and its many downstream tentacles. As such Robinson has received the full wrath of the elitist leftist glitterati, alphabet community, and typical leftist media types where they have tarred him with all the typical Hitler comparisons and "phobe" names as they typically do to anyone who opposes their agenda. Such is the way of the left and their bullhorns in today's poisonous political environment.
I'm not gonna clutch my pearls every time one the many leftist biased media outlets slams Mark Robinson with one of their hit pieces framing him as a Nazi or some other name. So to p.i.s.s you guys off even more - I'll state that I feel very comfortable voting for Mark Robinson. I find I have way more in common with Robinson's policy positions than I do Josh Stein's. Once again - the candidates POLICY positions will be my voting guide - not the political theater, name calling, or claims of being Hitler's spawn.

calling him a hypocrite. It seems that many are upset that he's sold out to become a career politician.
But a real question, if it's just about the policies, why is it so hard to find just a normal dude with the same supposed policies?

What I do believe is Mark Robinson is now walking back very stupid comments now that he realizes he wants to be a career politician, and y'all are, in quite silly fashion, more upset that his past comments are being brought to light because you think he's some kind of new MAGA warrior.
So no, I'm not surprised at all that he's singing different tune. But I am surprised you don't see through it.
I'm not calling Robinson another Hitler or evil or a Nazi. What he HAS done is make anti-Semitic statements--and quite publicly--and neither you nor your neighbors nor he can sugarcoat that.
If those are the kind of people you want to back, so be it. I appreciate you replying instead of running away with your tail tucked like RTD is going to do.

Over the years politics has gotten really simple for me.

It's all about policy positions and practically nothing else. I wasn't always this pessimistic towards politicians and used to have higher expectations of our political leadership. But that is no longer the case and I simply don't look to the political party's or the political class for anything other than to implement policies with which I agree. I do find this view sad but it is the destination the two reigning political parties have unfortunately taken us.
Is Mark Robinson an anti-Semite? Only he knows in what's truly in his heart. Political expediency or not - I'll at least give Robinson credit for addressing the issue and is at least saying the right things about the Holocaust, Israel, and the Jewish people. That's a lot more than can be said for current serving Democrats Omar and Talib who have never expressed any support for Israel and routinely make use of anti-Semitic stereotypes and slogans.
The gaslighting and echo chamber noise that we are fed through an unrelenting stream of social media, advocacy journalism, and political campaigns has become overwhelming - almost as if it is intentional to distract us from the really important things. Most of it is mountain out of molehill BS noise that avoids any in-depth policy discussion/analysis that the candidates want to implement. I'm simply at a place where I don't care about the noise anymore. That goes for Trump's "the election was stolen" BS as well as the left's daily dose of "Trump is evil incarnate" BS.
I simply look at a candidates policy position - wherever I can find it - and go from there. Whoever has the policy positions closest to my own will get my vote. Right now that happens to almost exclusively fall in the Republican camp as I have yet to find any Democrat (except occasionally Joe Manchin) express anything close to my positions on almost every issue.

It's all about policy positions and practically nothing else.
When a person's moral compass is so out of whack like this guy's, and his lack of integrity and his hatred of others are so intense, that becomes his policy. A guy like him can't keep that out of his policy.

It's unlikely you've seen my past positions (with the exception of Joe Biden... I know I'm repeating this to you and you should know better).
Biden - Terrible president and typical career politician. I don't think I could name more than three positive things about this presidency.
Sanders - Far left unrealistic idealist. Probably an okay person but his vision for America simply isn't feasible, and it's reckless, IMO.
Pelosi - Typical crooked career politician who clearly games the stock market with her husband.
Bill Clinton - A sociopath like his wife, but not as bad.
There. We done with this partisan silliness? I've never been a Democrat nor a fan of that party.
But I'm not the one defending ### holes. You are.

Democrats as you do some Republicans and we probably agree on a lot more than has been demonstrated on this thread and some others.
You may think I'm asking these questions to make you mad (appears you were getting irritated at the end of your last post) but I'm not. Seriously - I don't spend all day on TNet and have never really seen very many of your posts outside of the Trump/MAGA oriented posts which seem to always overwhelm the politics board - even on topics originally starting out having nothing to do with Trump. I'm just trying to understand your ideological framework other than the broad "independent" status.

You weren't making me mad. My posts generally mostly address Trump because the defense of him (and his acolytes like Robinson) are ludicrous and reprehensible. These are horrible, terrible people and we're being told how great and innocent they are because people have delved into idol worship over them.
Find me a group of people here worshipping Hillary Clinton and you'll get the same responses out of me.
I know the answer is often one you presented--look at policy--but again, with people like Robinson, such hatred eventually becomes the policy. People like him don't know how to separate it.

to see how many of your theories are wrong (all of them).

Wow, this radical: -wants kids to get the best education -wants HS grads to have job opportunities -wants to ensure schools stay safe
So what happens if people that really resonate with Mr. Robinson get educated and get a good job? Well they don't block vote for democrats now do they? Ding, ding, ding.
What say you? So you think he has all these radical opinions you hear about in the echo chamber but has to hide them until he gets elected and then he will be revealed?
You-know, he's been Lt Gov for a full term?
Yeah, just like Trump was going to start WW3 and turn the USA into a dictatorship the first time around.
