Point is that you won't get straight answers until Trump is gone.

Nevermind, now they're off.
Wait, I'm getting word they're on again.
Seems maybe they're like Schrödinger's tariffs. They're on and off at the same time.

Canada's predatory tariffs, which result in them changing us many multiples of what we charge them, appear to still be in place.

Do you want to go look at the actual tariff structure we have with Canada?

The tariff agreement that Trump himself made and signed? Go ahead. We'll wait.
No? Don't feel like researching? Let me see if I can help, because when you get your information from a liar, there's a very good chance your information is lies.
Let's take the 200% dairy tariff that Canada has on our dairy products. That's insane, right? Sure, except that our dairy products are actually charged ZERO (0%) tariff until they hit a certain threshold, which is RARELY ever reached, and even when it is, it's only incremental--you know, like how tax brackets work.
Did Trump leave that part out of his explanation? That rascal. It must have just slipped his mind, instead of him actually trying to dupe his challenged minions.
To review: ZERO tariffs on US dairy products exported to Canada, until a pretty absurdly high threshold is reached, one that we're not even within a mile of today.
Want to look at some more tariffs? Or is this enough for you to maybe dig a little on your own before being so confidently wrong?

And neither do a lot of other people that did a couple months ago. Is this something you’ll simply refuse to believe unless somebody provided exact figures that come from FDA databases? Ask Elon. He has the passwords.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/fact-check-trump-doesn-t-120052228.html
President Donald Trump correctly noted Friday, as he has before, that Canada has tariffs above 200% on dairy products imported from the US. But Trump again failed to mention a critical fact.
Those high tariffs kick in only after the US has hit a certain Trump-negotiated quantity of tariff-free dairy sales to Canada each year – and as the US dairy industry acknowledges, the US is not hitting its allowed zero-tariff maximum in any category of dairy product.
In many categories, notably including milk, the US is not even at half of the zero-tariff maximum.
Don't like it? Provide a credible source indicating otherwise.

If you don't know you should sit it out rather than jump in and look and act stupid. Maybe it has something to with the difference between dairy wholesalers and processors which kicks in the higher tariffs with no quotas and thus, the higher tariffs immediately. Look it up. There was a previous complaint filed between the U.S. and Canada over this exact issue that fell through the cracks during the Biden years.
You must not have grown up with Paul Harvey and "now the rest of the story".

They are on after “friends” place the put.
They are off after our “friends” strike price hits and they’ve set their buy order.

Either way, I got an email today from one of the major process instrumentation companies. A 2.3% tariff surcharge going forward. I suspect it's just the first of many.

then off after the bell so that they can sell the next trading day and profit from the bump. Now that he and President Musk have neutered all of the agencies that police market activity; he’s not even trying to hide his crimes.
