Appreciation and Maturity (LONG)

Oct 21, 2013, 1:24 PM

My disdain for Dabo has weakened, along with my impatience. I was one of many when he was hired, that questioned his background and knowledge. I was sure a guy that had never even been a coordinator couldn't coach MY CLEMSON (DANNY FORD ERA)TIGERS. I have b*tched and moaned for the last several years, and was certain his time would come to a end as quickly as it arose. In this time he has grown and matured and has proven that we are at least heading in the right direction.

I am proud to be a part of what is happening right now, knowing full well that I have eaten some crow, but I still have questions and doubts. As we all should because in his job perfection is almost unobtainable due to University restrictions and unforeseen events. So he plays the hand he is dealt along with some great recruiting and personal standards he has consistently put a team we can be proud of on and off the field.

Dabo produced a short and sweet coaches speak response to our lost and he did apologize for the embarrassing loss at home and to the fans. It was just last year he blamed the fans but the whole university did as well. He has grown in that area and is no longer hugging announcers and hollering into microphones ha ha. He has hired a great staff, I only question S&C, which seems a lot better this year but has room for improvement.

So, that being said I cant say we couldnt have beat fsu if we wouldn't have turned the ball over, not dropped the ball, and would have seen the open receivers. I however would have put in Cole earlier to calm down Taj or inspire whichever the case maybe. If he was hot keep him in, I dont know. The biggest glaring issue that bothered me, and I have seen in several games this year, is the lack of intensity on the sideline and when the team is together.

Is it all business and no fun? Are they scared? Did they drink the Kool Aid and believe playing the other teams are beneath them? I think that transfers on the field sometimes, not all, but some.

So lets b*tch about and back em.

If we lose to UsuC I may change my mind about everything.

Dont forget its a game and fun to watch, be with friends, tailgate, talk sh*t, and distract us from the real world.
Win or lose I dont want the season to end, so I no longer carry hatred or expectation the way I used to. GO TIGERS
