Excellent drive by Lewis on his home track.
Big thumbs down to McLaren. They could have had a 1-2 today and threw it away for both drivers.

Rain was so light that they ended up taking it too easy to preserve the inters as well, but still a fun watch.
Before the race even started I was counting on a massive Ferrari strategy screwup. It’s like the Italians have never seen rain.

Leaving Piastri out to lose 20 seconds instead of stacking him behind Lando to lose maybe 2 seconds, and if they’d put Lando on new mediums at the end instead of used softs, he wins.

I suspect Lewis is eyeing the current state of Ferrari with more than a few second thoughts. They shoot themselves in the foot so frequently it’s unbelievable.
They need another Ross Brawn to join the team and hire a few quality Brits and Germans on the staff.

Lewis is used to it being all about Lewis. Ferrari is used to it being all about Ferrari.
When Lewis is running at the front of a race next year and has to make an extra pit stop because Ferrari put softs on the front and mediums on the rear, it will be delicious to see who blinks first in the interviews.
