I've consulted several attorneys over this and one cartel employee and should be resolved soon.

In my house, Dinner was fancy. Like Sunday Dinner, or going out to dinner.

Supper was your everyday end of the day kind of meal.
Sunday Dinner was lunch, going out to dinner was suppertime.
Basically Dinner can be Supper or Lunch, terms are not interchangeable though.

Dinner is a big social meal eaten on Sundays or holidays/special occasions

Dinner can be eaten day, night, noon, 3pm, 7pm.
All other days of the year: breakfast-lunch-supper
For people who don't "believe" in supper......is supper even a real word to you? When would one ever eat "supper"?
