Anyone see the blown call in Rockies game last night

May 2, 2012, 8:00 PM

CHeck Todd Helton and Tim Welke (ump). Helton is several feet off first catching the ball and recording a put out.

I used to think college umps were bad but this surpasses anything I recall from them

That was a day game today. Yes, bad call. Looked like the ump happened to be at the exact wrond angle to where he couldn't see Helton's foot. I'd say 99/100 MLB calls are correct.

usually it is on something close that you look at over and over to find it. this could have been called from Topeka. Absoulety ridiculous for and MLB ump to miss that and for no one on the crew to uhh... help out and point out Helton was 3 feet from the bag
