Anyone on here gone through this basal thumb joint

replacement surgery? First followup isn't till 9/9. Just trying to scope out what kind of total recovery time I am looking at. 4 things done were:
1. Tendon graft to make a new basal thumb joint. (old age, stage 4 arther killed the original) 2. Carpel tunnel surgery / trigger thumb release surgery. 3. Removal of arthritic bone in center of top of hand. 4. Revisit site of previous cyst removal in top of hand, remove residual.
Oh yeah, did I mention it hurt just as bad as you would expect from all that carving? Can you say &^%$#@! boys and girls? I knew you could.

I had one kidney stone in my life. It was way back when I

was 15 years old. Took 3 days of agony before it plinked into the toilet. Almost inconceivable that something that small could inflict so much pain. No idea why I got one then, or why I have never had another. REALLY Thankful that I haven't, though!

I had carpometacarpal orthoplasty surgery on my right hand in 2013. They took a 3” piece of tendon out of my wrist and used it to build a new ligament and the removed the remains of the small bone at the base of the thumb. The surgery did not go well as I do not have full use of my hand.
