No noise or gas smell.
For me, worked much better than gas powered inverter or generator.

The Yamahas are excellent. Every bit as quiet as a Honda if not quieter. They are also rated to last longer than the Hondas.

If you have an HD box and an HD dish (required) you can get HD in the lot.
That looks like an HD dish. Good luck.

HD subscription...
THE dish in your link is HD.. you bring one of your boxes..
the level, compass, and signal meter are just tools to make finding the signal easier.. they are not needed.
I have that same tripod . It is bulky but it works fine. I put mine in a old fold up chair bag.
POwer: depends on what u want to run. I see many peopel running an inverter off their car batter but they usually only have like a 20inch TV goin.

running an inverter off the car battery.
The purpose of a car battery is to deliver short high current bursts for starting an engine and not to power electronic devices.
Conversely, a deep-cycle battery is designed to be regularly deeply discharged using most of its capacity.
People need to put a crowbar in their walet, pry that thing open, and spend a little money on a seperate deep cycle marine battery.

That package would work and get you HD on a HR-24 reciever. It is a 4 wire HD Dish setup. It does not need external power, however your satellite reciever would need power. A couple of things to keep in mind. 1) If you have a SWiM setup at home everytime you set up the reciever you would have to repeat the satellite setup in the setup menu for the reciever. Then when you were finished you would have to do that again for your SWiM setup at home in order for the reciever to work at home.
2) You need broadband converters on an HR-24 in order to recieve HD with that dish setup.
Also keep in mind that that dish setup is not compatible with the newest DirecTV satellite reciever. (H25) They work with a swim setup only. For a little easier setup and better compatibility I would recommend spending a little more and getting a SWiM tailgating setup. I see the same seller has one there on ebay. If I'm just using one tv that would mean one tuner and one converter then correct? I'm assuming since it usually only has one coax in...

That is correct. As long as you don't want to watch something and record something else one tuner is fine. You just need to select one tuner in the setup and it will work.

No setup or alignment needed. Just put it on top of your car and start up your receiver. Easy as pie. A1 HD picture.

2 years ago I caught a caught a Ryobi (must be a cousin to Honda) on sale via Amazon for about $500 (about 40% off). Guy who tailgates next to me has the Honda and there are minimal differences. Mine is a tad bit noisier.
I used the SD setup, but been very pleased with Ryobi.

and the entire set-up which includes the Tailgater (dish), receiver, cables, and subscription was only about $300.
As for a power course, a deep cycle marine battery is the way to go IMO. It's significantly less expensive, completely silent and does not require any gas to operate.

I am pretty sure the answer to this will be "No" but has anyone ever successfully tailgated with/tried to tailgate with an XBox with a wireless card streaming Watch ESPN through the campus wireless?
