Anybody else get the feeling

Jul 9, 2012, 4:28 PM

that the whole RN saga honestly helps Clemson in the long run?

I think from recent interviews, after the AJC article, RN's commitment to Clemson is much stronger than before.

Whether that is because he wants to be a man of his word (which was put in question) or just to spite all the lowlifes who want to make a big deal out of him choosing "little old Clemson," doesnt really matter to me.

I feel his commitment is stronger, and now may will come in with a chip on his shoulder instead of waiting for the world to come to him. Not that he would have, but even for the #1 recruit, it is clear that you only get out of this game what you put in. We saw it with Bowers. When he decided to be great, he was unstoppable, the best there was and every bit deserving of that #1 status. Unfortunately, we also saw it with Bellamy. Kid had talent for days, but hadn't decided to do the things he needed to do to be the best. Sammy came in to take care of business, and did just that.

Whatever the case may be, critics are great motivation. Clemson is a family, and the whole RN thing is family business as far as I am concerned. Things like this bring you closer together, stronger, and may light a fire under RN that will be burning for 3 great years.

RN, I aint mad at cha, I got nothing but love for you. Do your thing boy.

I think the media is ticking RN off as well.

They are probably strengthening his commitment when they thought they would hurt it. He sounds very irritated with the whole thing, and seems like the kind of kid that committed so he could move on an play football.

I thought the same thing. Lot of Clemson talk.***
