I think it’s safe to say the big official visit weekend was a big flop. Can’t remember another in recent history that has produced such little results. Have we even got a single commitment from that weekend? Now we losing recruits to that powerhouse Rutgers. Whoever is the recruiting coordinator has some explaining to do.

You are 100% right. Like it or not if you want to compete moving forward Clemson either needs to reevaluate & adapt there recruiting practices or be satisfied with getting the relatively few recruits that NIL isn’t a big deal.

He is from a junk city in Trenton and that is only 39 miles away. He probably knows and has reasons to be close to home. Might have friends going to Rutgers. I am sure he knows the situation though.

Just might bea good thing we missed on this kid. surf around to some other sites and read what the kid's dad said. basically said it ain't over "until the ink is dotted", and that the kid still has a season to "appreciate his worth with all the interest he's still getting." He's basically inviting schools to keeping bidding all thru his career.
Congratulations, Son! This was a wise decision going into your senior year! Just make sure you understand that the process isn't over until the ink is dotted and you still have a senior year to either depreciate or appreciate your worth with all your interest still 👀👀!✌🏿

Every 4-5 star isn’t always a good fit for Clemson. We take players who fit into the Clemson system. No guarantee they will stay but if staff thinks they’ll fit, they’re welcome to come.

That weekend pretty much has bombed, to this point. Previous big weekends like that have produced 50 - 60 % commitments. This yr will hover around 20. Not good! There were also MANY who favored CU after that visit & committed elsewhere. Which probably signals upfront $$ we weren't willing to spend

Rutgers offered him about 5x the amount of money to play for them. I think Rutgers makes sense for him. Local school. Take the money, play a few years get film then transfer to big program. Clemson was his top choice before Rutgers came in with their $$ for what it’s worth.

I edited that post to remove specific $ amounts to remain anonymous but I'm from the area and have some friends close to that program. He's a great kid and sad to lose him
